This rustic cabin will ensure your comfort during a relaxing vacation in the Idaho woods. A wood-burning fireplace and stove keep both levels of the home toasty and warm during winter nights as you cook in the kitchen or watch a show on the cable TV. When it's warm out, you can sit out on the expansive deck and take in the surrounding forests. An additional perk to this home is the private foosball, perfect for indoor game nights!

What's Nearby:
This home may sit in seclusion, but the attractions of Idaho's West Mountains aren't far. The center of Cascade is a short three-mile drive, where you can shop at boutiques and antique stores or dine at local restaurants. Lake Cascade State Park is just a bit farther at four miles. Here you can spend hot summer days enjoying Lake Cascade by sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, and more. In winter months, you can pack up your skis and make the 20.7 mile journey to Tamarack Resort to explore its nice long runs. The center of the popular town of McCall is 35.4 miles north.

Not great

Not very clean and LOTS of spiders. The kicker was that there was no hot water or water pressure when we arrived. It had been turned off at the breaker (intentionally) and not turned back on. We had to sleuth that out on our own. I book a lot of these places in Idaho for work trips, and I've noticed a pattern— It seems like every time we're in a rental with problems, it just happens to be managed by Vacasa.

Great property that needs a few minor housekeeping and repair items.

Found a sippy cup of rotten milk, a half-eaten granola bar, and 2 pieces of 2x4 lumber in one bedroom. Lots of cobwebs up high with a ton of dead ants that we vacuumed up. The kitchen sink drain was very stinky, and the fill valve on the washing machine doesn't work well, causing the pipes to rattle like crazy when you try to do laundry. Also, we had to buy our own toilet paper because there was none in the cabin.

We have stayed here before several times. Love it!

We had no upstairs tv service. Fridge never got to temperature to keep our food cold enough , had to keep food in coolers. Horrible smell like had been closed up for years. Musty , moldy smell. I think home owner or company is not a-where of these issues or would have been taken care of as we have stayed here before 4 times. With no issues other than upstairs tv. Just needs a little TLC.

Great views and spacious home

The home is cozy and the view is beautiful looking out from the picture windows. However, there were not enough towels for our group, even though the the sleeping accommodations are for nine people. The ashes were left in the fireplace and wood stove, and only one log for each for the entire weekend. The log pile on the patio was very low and covered in snow and ice making it inaccessible. Disappointing when it says there is plenty of firewood. Especially in January.

could have been better for the price

The house was nice, well kept. Quiet neighborhood. The cooking pans all need to be thrown in the trash. There was no firewood which was disappointing in the winter time. For the price of the rent I expected more.

A few issues!

We have stayed in the Ponderosa, times now. Never once have we been to watch tv. You should probably figure out whats up with them. We washed one load of laundry it seriously took all day to dry it. Might need to clean out the vent. Otherwise we absolutely love it there.

Great Location, not the cleanest...

The rustic cabin was very outdated and this was fine but when we went to get into the bed in the master bedroom it was dirty! The sheets had wrinkles and body imprints and were soiled!! We had to take them off and launder them ourselves. Which after a long day was not enjoyable. The family before us must have had small children because all of the windows at the lower level had finger and hand prints on them and the kitchen floor had not been swept in awhile. The cobwebs and rustic feel of the cabin was fine otherwise. The location was very close to the lake. Our family needed the getaway so we made it work for us!

Cute cabin

The property is very cute and comfortable with nice amenities for quality family time. Our only complaints were that the dryer did not work and there was not propane for the grill. Not being able to find a phone number to the management company, I emailed them and still have not had a response. Cabin good ...Vacasa not!

Great location but a little run down and dirty

This was a great location. The house could have been a little cleaner. The toilet downstairs leaked, there we quite a few cobwebs all over the house, a towel rack was broken and it just seemed a little run down. There were quite a few wood ants but that is to be expected in that area. It is in a great location, very convenient.

Dated and dirty

Overall the property is in need of a deep cleaning. Drapery is filthy. Baseboards are covered in grime. Sheets didn't fit properly and kept coming off all night. Squirrels in the wall of upstairs bedroom kept up awake all night. We were woken up by woodpeckers on the outside of the house. Wasp next under the deck near entrance door. Kitchen pots/pans/utensils are very worn. Refrigerator didn't keep food cold (only a bit cooler than room temperature). The cabin smelled of mold. A lot of light fixures were burned out. Cable/satellite didn't get reception.

Father’s Day vacation

The house is quaint and in a very quiet location. The rooms were clean.... however there were dirty plates and bowls in the cupboard and dirty silverware in the silverware drawer. We did an entire load of dishes in the dishwasher before we used any of it. The shower downstairs was not usable as the cold water faucet would not work. We were awakened at 6 each morning of our stay as the woodpeckers are drilling yet another hole in the side of the house.... I seriously thought the bird was going to be in the house with us at any point as we could actually hear the wood splintering from inside the house. There is also a pile of insulation on the ground outside underneath the hole they are working on. We contacted property manager on our first morning there and he said someone might be there to address the situation (s). Nothing was ever taken care of. Also, there are carpenter ants IN the house. The best thing about this house was the setting and location. However, the surrounding grounds have not been taken care of for a long time. Too bad,

Great place to stay. Bad customer service.

This cabin is clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. The first night we were there we didn’t have water. I called for some help and was told someone would call me back. I didn’t receive a phone call until after I returned home from my trip. No water for a night.....they refunded my booking fee.
