Pointes North Inn is one of Charlevoix's unique condominium suites that book like a hotel room. Book for the condo's privacy, stay for the hospitality.

This beautifully remodeled condo boasts beautiful wood flooring throughout, and ceiling fans with lights. In the bedroom you will find a luxurious king-size bed, a smart tv with a roku remote, modern bedside tables, a luggage rack, plenty of closet space, and a beautiful dresser so you can fully unpack to feel more at home. The living room offers a comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa with bedding in the ottoman, a cozy arm chair, large smart tv with a roku remote, and beautiful side tables. There is also a glass top dining room table that seats 2. The kitchenette offers a 12 cup coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and built in sink with a granite countertop. In the handy coat closet you will find an iron with an ironing board, broom, and an oscillating fan.The large bathroom offers a jet tub, a low barrier tiled walk-in shower and separate toilet room with grab bars, the beautiful vanity provides additional storage. In addition to the fabulous interior, through the sliding glass door you will find a 4 person seating arrangement on the large screened in porch! No need to worry about privacy, the screen door locks and the curtains close fully.
We provide towels and mini soaps for your use, and limited daily housekeeping services. Be sure to ask the front desk if you need a playpen or high-chair if you have a little one.

Pointes North Inn has high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building and coin-operated laundry on the second floor. The lobby area has seating which overlooks the heated indoor/outdoor pool. The inside section of the pool is open year-round, while the outside section is closed off October to May.

Most of the employees were really kind. That was the best part. The room and the pool need a lot of work and upgrades. When I reserved our room online and the room looked so inviting than in person. The outside wall of the shower was cracking and falling apart. From the online pictures, I was so excited to have a Jacuzzi bathtub for my husband. Upon seeing it in person it was very disappointing. I really expected a better experience.

Out of town

Great location. However, the bedroom window was the condo hallway which was bright all night long. We had to turn the furnace off because it was way too hot to sleep. Had to open the slider to cool off the condo, but wasn’t successful. Super unfortunate about the water in shower. Took such a longtime to get warm and never got hot.

Great Location

Perfect location for walking to all of downtown Charlevoix. The only reason for 3 stars is the unit is not very user friendly (ex: small vanity, no shelves & only 1 towel hook, one outlet by the bed was directly behind & in the center of the bed—you would have to crawl under the bed to access it).

Needs some attention.

Location was wonderful. Room was cozy. However, we found cobwebs in the bedroom. Mattress on the fold out was flimsy at best. Sawdust and scrap wood littered the porch. Holes in the walls, odd paint job, and cables to internet tv and air conditioning was hanging around and on the fireplace. I wouldn’t recommend using the tub. Mounding in bathroom needs to be replaced. Perfect place to sleep if that’s all you were looking to do. Front door could use some leveling. The whole place could use some updates. Front desk staff was lovely and helpful.

Wall half painted where air conditioner was replaced.Patio had a ladder, utility knife, caulk gun, nails and was dusty from the work. TV fell off the wall the first night and a glass shelf fell off the second night. Both during the night, which scared us out of our sleep. Property manager was very helpful and went above and beyond to make it right.

A perfect Anniversary Weekend

The location of this VRBO is unbeatable. You are right downtown Charlevoix! Super comfortable bed (we are actually going to find one and get it at home). Updates were great. We enjoyed our stay. We will most likely be back. Wifi was a little slow for some work that needed to be done when you are on the patio.

Loved it!

Everything about this stay was amazing from Heather at the front room to my beautiful, clean room to the beauty of Charlevoix. I would definitely stay here again. Had fun playing pickleball with the wonderful Charlevoix group of people. Loved it.

Security - Get locks

I recently stayed here with a friend. I didn't realize when I booked that this is essentially a hotel with condo-like rooms. We "checked in" after hours. When I pulled in, I was the only car in the lot. They sent info ahead of time on how to access the building. I used the code they sent to get into the building & grabbed our room info from the inside mailbox. At the time, I was the only person in the entire hotel/building. The room was clean, updated, and comfortable. We accepted that we were the solo occupants of the building and enjoyed the evening until we went to lock the door before bed. There was NO way to lock our door to the hallway. No lock, no dead bolt, nothing. The rooms are accessible with a pin pad with the door swinging out into the hallway. We were really uncomfortable sleeping in a room without a lock but by the time we realized it, it was too late to do anything. As I was falling asleep (around 1 am), I heard the door to the parking lot open and slam shut. We weren't the only ones in the building. I didn't sleep great. I've never stayed in a hotel, condo, VRBO that did not have a way to lock the door. Get some locks on the doors!

Hot Mess

The heat and air conditioning did not work. With the heat set at 50 the rooms were 80. Neither of the air conditioners worked. So we had to keep the sliding door open all day. Having the room very close to sidewalk it didn’t feel safe to have it open all night. I had a problem with the manager who had promised to pay for our dinner because there were things missing from room. And then didn’t. She didn’t apologize, nor return my calls.
