Fantastic stay

We rented this little cottage on a trip to visit our daughter. The house was very comfortable, well decorated, clean, and had great touches (nice glasses, plates, granite countertops, french press for coffee, etc). The deck was great to sit on, and we even used the outdoor fireplace one morning while having our coffee. I didn't expect the house to be so close to the road, and the driveway was tight for our big truck, BUT it was right next to the park and walkable to downtown. Everything about the house was comfortable for us, and our two dogs who were traveling with us. I would stay in this house again in a heartbeat.

Beware

The house itself was fine. If I could get in. Check in
the key code worked but since the door was double locked, I couldn’t get in. Pouring rain, just off a flight, 10 pm. I emailed the host multiple times with no response. I checked into a hotel. Next day, VRBO found the owner and he walked me thru a process to get a separate key. I’m out $170 for my hotel. Host will not refund my one night, says I don’t have “proof” that I couldn’t get in. I was there for business and thankful that I had a gap where I could deal with this nightmare, all hotels were booked. I would recommend Davidson Village Inn. I’ve stayed at many rentals and the cornerstone is responsiveness from owner.

Has it all!

This small but cozy bungalow had a great energy and space for our 3 day stay in Davidson. Highlights: location location! across the street from the park! and the beds, showerhead, and kitchen were exceptional. These features made this house worthy of a re-visit.

Beautiful bungalow!

Walking in we were pleasantly surprised to feel that the house was cool and smelled good. It was very clean with a brand new kitchen and extremely well decorated spaces. We loved the elegant farmhouse design. I am a designer and was extremely impressed! wish we had more time to spend relaxing on the spacious deck overlooking trees and birds with one of the great best selling books that were available to read! We will be recommending this beautiful gem so close to Davidson and will book again.

Unsafe and Not as Advertised

We requested an immediate cancellation and refund when we saw the neighborhood that the property is in. Is was mischaracterized based on the listing and is in an unsafe area of town that we did not feel safe staying in. I would recommend that VRBO look into areas more closely before agreeing to list a property. We are working with their legal team to suggest amendments to the verification and safety of properties based on location in the future.

The property is just as described. Has everything you need for a stay with family. Light cooking, comfortable beds/linens/blankets. Response time and communication with Victor is great. Will definitely return to this fine gem.
