A/C and other things need updating

The A/C unit didn’t have a fan-on setting that kept it running all night. It made a very loud sound whenever it turned on. It also didn’t seem to cool very well. The breakfast wasn’t good, but my kids liked the waffles.

The hotel itself is a bit older and smelled like heavy wood polish. The breakfast had a nice selection. Very busy area located 15 minutes from PNC Music Pavilion. Even though it is tucked into an industrial park you can still hear city all night.

The Best in Charlotte

I am traveling to Charlotte for my granddaughter's soccer games. Home games are weekly so I always stay at Hampton Inn University Place. Always a wonderful experience and have made some wonderful friends on staff! Location near everything, great breakfast and friendly and clean accomodations!

Quite honestly the property seemed a little run down. The pool was green and most of the lights were out around the pool. I think I counted 3 out of 13 that were working. In my room the HVAC T-stat on the wall didn’t work so I to control the AC manually. The channel guide for the TV remote didn’t work and 1 light was out in the bathroom.

Clean room, friendly staff, pretty nice breakfast and coffee always available which was nice! Room felt humid/stuffy so I had to keep ac on to be able to breath.

Okay stay, not friendly for late check in

Not a great place to go if you need to check in late after 10pm due to doors being locked and needing to call front desk to let you in. Staff was unfriendly and unprofessional at times. Multiple ice machines out and no vending machines. Had to have items bought for snacks or drinks at the front desk to be charged to room.
