Located in a repurposed historic building built in 1920, the rooms at Rose Jean are designed to be a modern, independent lodging experience, so there is no front desk, onsite staff or formal check-in. All of the details, from the restoration to the design, have been carefully thought out, including the name, which comes from the proprietors' mothers. The clean, contemporary interior showcases the original artwork of several well-known, Virginia-based artists. Each room is spacious, offering a luxurious king bed, a modern bathroom with a walk in shower and heated floors, a smart TV, a desk, mini fridge, espresso maker, and ample space to spread out. Room #3 is on the second floor with vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and windows that overlook the front of the building. Guests have access to the shared parlor and outdoor seating spaces.
Room #4 is on the second floor with vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and windows that overlook the front and back patio. Guests have access to the shared parlor and outdoor seating spaces.
Room #5 is on the ground level and the only room out of the 5 that has its own separate entrance. It is accessed around the left side of the building and through the back patio and terrace on the backside of the building for maximum privacy. Guests staying in Room #5 may bring up to one dog as a travel companion.
