Gisleburtus House is an impressive first floor Cotswold holiday apartment which sleeps four guests, in two spacious bedrooms, with two ensuite bathrooms. From the Cotswold stone arches to the Jacobian wooden panelling adorning the walls, every detail has been thoughtfully hand picked by a renowned interior design team to combine these beautiful features with modern luxuries. The spacious living area offers a wonderful haven to relax in front of the cosy fire or enjoy a game at the checkers table. This space boasts high vaulted ceilings wth skylights, allowing the natural light to flow. There is also a private balcony which is perfect for catching the evening sun, and a sought after assigned parking space in a central location in Stow-on-the-Wold. Gisleburtus House oozes sophisticated elegance, ideal for couples or small families!

The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

A comfortable base for exploring the Cotswolds

A very comfortable stay for 4 adults in a characterful property. The flat is clean, warm and well appointed with many thoughtful touches. Although central it is quiet and has welcome off street parking. A very comprehensive welcome pack is provided giving the impression that the owners really want you to enjoy your stay. My only suggestion would be to reconsider the 5pm access restriction. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay

We had a long weekend stay in this lovely well appointed characterful spacious property and found it perfectly located for the short walk into the centre of Stow with its beautiful boutique shops. The flat was clean, quiet and warm with convenient parking. It would have been a little more convenient if we could have had access earlier than 5.0 pm. Overall a great place to stay.

We wanted accommodation with parking located centrally in Stow On The Wold, However the minute we opened the door into Gilsebertus House we knew we had found found somethingVery special indeed. The house was very spacious throughout and alot of thought and effort Had went into the design of the Interior, Stunning kitchen and dinning area followed By another reception with beautiful old antique panelling along one wall, Bright, and airy with with modern furnishings, Two beautiful bedrooms both En Suite with a spare bath room for guests, Everything spotless with extra towels. Accommodation is in a lovey snug quiet area, we didn't hear any noise or neighbours etc Honestly Can't recommend this place enough, I know we will be returning at every opportunity Stow and Gilsebertus House is a wonderful base whilst Touring the Cotswolds

Good place to stay in the centre of Stow.

This is a good place in the centre of Stow, in a nice quiet location. It is tastefully decorated with some interesting features and wooden panelling. It lacks any out door space ( except for small balcony at top of steps) which is probably the main disadvantage. The condition of the property could be improved by e.g. replacing lightbulbs that aren’t working and limiting the temperature of hot water which was extremely hot in the kitchen. However it was very clean and well presented.

Perfect spot to explore Cotswolds

We had a wonderful stay as 4 adults in Gisleburtus House. It has everything you need, is luxurious and very comfortable. The perfect spot to explore the very pretty town of Stow-on-the-Wold and further afield in the Cotswolds. Great for walks too. Great information and friendly owners. Did not need to contact them as all was perfect. The bread, milk and butter supplied and dishwash tablets/washing up liquid was a great touch. The welcome pack and pre-departure online information was very comprehensive and helpful. Loved this property and would stay again.

Excellent in all respects

The apartment/property is massive, lots of space, well appointed and very comfortable. It's so comfortable there's no real need to go out to eat and drink, although out of choice that's what we decided to do The apartment is on the first floor which you access from an outside flight of metal stairs. The stairs are straight, not twisting and we had no problem in carrying some fairly heavy suitcases. In fact access is a lot easier than most Hotels/B&B's etc Location is superb with private off street parking and a short walk to local bars and restaurants. It's quiet even though it's close to town We were looking to return, however the property was already booked for the dates we wanted, otherwise we would definitely go back

Gisleburtus House December 2025

A beautiful home that provided excellent accommodation facilities in the heart of Stow on the Wold. This property was absolutely stunning and felt like home the minute we walked through the door. The accommodation also provided a reserved car parking space. We had a fantastic few days in the Cotswolds and the property was one of the main reasons for that. We would love to return and will definitely be selecting Gisleburtus House as our place to stay!

Great location, spacious and comfortable place

With the exception of a small hiccup checking in (cleaning hadn't been completed from prior guest - this was quickly remedied), we had a wonderful stay at Gisleburtus House. The bedrooms and living space were quite spacious, and the place had all the amenities we wanted/needed. It was well located near all shops and restaurants.

A home from home

This is a stunning property, the photos showing the property are spot on, sometimes photos make a property out to be better than what it actually is, not in this case though. The size of the apartment is huge. Location in 2 mins walk from town square which has loads of little bars, shops, and restaurants. Stow on the Wold is an excellent base for a visit to the Cotswolds. I have to give a mention to Callum, the property manager, I had contacted him on two occasions, one looking to see if we could get a little earlier check in, which he was able to accommodate and another issue which was entirely my own doing, he was excellent on each occasion. He left us a welcome pack upon arrival which included some freshly baked bread, butter, and milk. That was nice to get. The property comes with its own off street parking which was brilliant as parking in Stow is hard to come by as it’s a very busy town. I honestly cannot rate this property high enough, everything that we needed was supplied in the property, we were able to cook breakfast each morning, it was definitely a home from home.

Lovely stay in a beautiful clean premises

This house is absolutely beautiful. All very clean, modern and well kept. Perfect location in Stow. We had poor communication from the property manager. We contacted him but he didn't help us with our concerns. We will definitely stay there again though as it was perfect for our needs.

Arrived, little tricky to find but once we did, wow, what a find! Loved the space and how close it was to everything we could have wanted. Lovely central location, accommodation modern and clean. Beds very comfy. Just a beautiful stay all round... would not hesitate to return and can thoroughly recommend.

Short break at Gisleburtus House

Second year in a row we have stayed here. Tastefully decorated with all you need. Great location close to shops, restaurants etc whilst remaining quiet. Own parking space which is useful as Stow gets busy. No garden of course but we spend lots of time out and about. We shall hopefully return next year.

A beautiful house in the centre of Stow

We had a lovely stay at Gisleburtus House. The house is ideally situated in the centre of Stow in the Wold, with all the amenities the village holds. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and large. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed for a four night stay.

A great hideaway

The perfect hideaway in Stow - easy to walk to everything but quiet location and great to have a parking spot right out front! We loved our stay and that the kitchen was stocked with a few essentials, which fed us breakfast multiple mornings!

We had a fabulous few days at Huntington Court in the heart of Stow on the Wold. The property is exactly as described and very well appointed. It had everything we need and was very comfortable. The hosts were helpful and responsive.
