#12899 Climbing Bear Creekside Cabin is close to everything in the Great Smoky Mountains, Cherokee, and Bryson City. This nearly new smoky mountain log cabin is an excellent choice for your vacation getaway. The cabin is on a large lot with Camp Creek running the entire length of the side of the property. Outside you will find the log cabin feel in the great outdoors. Inside you will be spoiled with the luxurious appointments including leather seating in the living room and granite in the kitchen. The living room also features a cathedral ceiling, a fireplace, and lots of windows.
Everything was absolutely perfect. Beautiful creek and cabin! Everything you need in one spot. So relaxing and peaceful. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The little touches with the towel animals made it even better! Will definitely go back to stay longer!!
The house was very welcoming; wonderful and peaceful. The kids loved the river right by the house and even enjoyed the rocking chairs on the back porch! Mornings were spent with warm chai and rocking. Great experience was had from grandma to the toddler!
Our first visit in October of 2023 was our 56th anniversarythis visit October 2025 was our 58th anniversary. We returned because of the area, cabin cleanliness, well appointed, neatness and easy access.Owner is available and responsiveAt our age and mobility the future is a ?
Wonderfully quiet for sleeping. Hanging out creek side in our gravity chairs and listening to the water was so peaceful. Coffee and conversation on the porch was a lovely start to the day. Comfy master bed. Comfy couch. Fantastic location for us, as we traveled to Cherokee every afternoon.
The place was a serene getaway with a beautiful babbling brook next to the house. We greatly enjoyed our stay and only wished we had booked more days there. The proximity to town and to Great Smoky Mountains NP was surprisingly close, given how secluded the house felt. We enjoyed the whole house, but the extra long porch was extra special and perfect for relaxing.
This place was great. Very clean and the location was perfect. Communication with Greg the host was excellent. Could not have asked for a better experience!
The property and location are very good. Itâs beautiful. A stream next to the house big open fields. you can see neighbors and houses, but theyâre not intrusive until you start hearing gunfire right across the stream, which I donât have a problem with as long as Iâm with my son or my other buddies how we might even join in, but I was with my wife who needed the rest. Sheâs a caregiver for her father who is 100% disabled veteran doesnât have use of one side of his body because heâs had two strokes she needed to distress. It was advertise as a quiet cozy, no loud noises after 10 PM at night call the owner which he replied that guy only does this one time a year. Iâll let you decide what you think about that response the next day gunfire again and he told me that if I were willing to pack up and leave at that point that VRBO would reimburse me the days left now who won a five day vacation is gonna do that when you know, it would be extremely difficult to find something and then his response was I cannot control what the neighbors do which I agree so I accept it and decide to leave it alone. We go off puts around antiquing whatever come back and heâs got the landscaper block in the driveway leaf blowing mowing. Iâm gonna leave it here and let you people decide about the stay beautiful. Home cleanliness was great, but probably as much as I hate to say it because we didnât like the location will find a different place next year
This place was great! Very comfortable in a very pretty location. Everything in the cabin was clean and fresh. We have stayed at many places where the linens were clean, but the pillows smelled funky. Not here - everything was truly clean. The location was great for going to GSMNP. 45-50 minutes to Newfound Gap. Ingles grocery is 15-20 minutes away. We enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the porch, listening to the creek as we had our coffee in the morning. Looking forward to coming back.
We loved our stay at Climbing Bear Cabin! Such a great location, with very relaxing vibes. Loved having the hot tub right on the porch, the grill and patio right outside the backdoor and the peaceful babbling brook by the house.Kitchen had a great supply of utensils, pots and plates/mugs etc. A thicker baking sheet would be nice, but otherwise fantastic! Comfy beds, plenty of seating. The cons-The wifi was not consistent. It would be great and then all of a sudden flake out for an hour unless we reset it.We had 5 people in our party, but only 4 towels were provided. There was a pretzel on the floor when we arrived and the kitchen floor looked like it had been sprayed with something but not wiped/mopped over.Bed linens were microfiber.By day 4 the hot tub had a bit of a fishy aroma that kept me out, but the kids still enjoyed it.Overall definitely recommend and will want to go back!
We were there for the weekend, catching a show at Harrahâs. The house was perfect, so clean and close enough to things but also far enough out to be able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Enjoyed the hot tub in the afternoon/evening and also getting to walk in the creek.
We had a family of 5. The home was more spacious than what the pics showed. Kids loved the creek and firepit area. Convenient to many sightseeing places. Beginning of driveway has gravel but not steep.
Such an adorable, peaceful place. We will definitely be back. We loved the bear motif and the relaxing creek. So many small touches really added to our stay. And I always appreciate it when makeup towels are provided. At the risk of sounding like Douglas Adams, I have taken to always carrying a towel; but for more places like this creekside cottage, I might not have to be so careful to avoid the panic ;)
This is a nice 2 bedroom cabin. The porch is a treat. You can sit on the porch and listen to the stream. We loved the rockers on the porch. The house is well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with more pots, pans and utensils than any cabin we have rented before. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms had good storage for your clothes. Having two bathrooms was great. The area is very quiet, but conveniences are not far away. We hated to leave and plan on coming back next summer
This was a last minute trip. This cabin was spot on in every way. The quickest response to a late booking. Cabin last as it say. The only thing I would change if we could is, it would be pet friendly. Great host, fast to responding to questions. We were grateful for this place. Must take the time to sit on the porch and watch the fireflies, I have them where I live, but not that many at one time. Absolutely beautiful!
