Feel at home while exploring Chiang Rai - Bambuh Boutique is our small, family-run stay set in a one-acre forest garden just outside the city, combining traditional Thai wooden houses with modern rooms. It offers a quiet, natural setting where you can slow down—spend time in the garden with its pavilions or on your balcony, and experience a slower, more local side of Chiang Rai.
Wherever you stay in Chiang Rai, visiting the main sights involves getting around, as most of them are outside the city centre. From Bambuh, it’s easy to head out and visit them, including the walkable Black House Museum, with the added benefit of direct access to the surrounding countryside. Walk or cycle through villages, rice and pineapple fields, foothills, local waterfalls, a hill-tribe village and forest areas, all starting right from the property.
Bambuh offers a tranquil setting, a chance to experience everyday Thai life around us, and a convenient base for exploring—while Chiang Rai’s city centre is only about 10 km away and easy to reach by taxi or apps like Grab.
Your space is the entire upper floor of the traditional, wooden stilt Thai house with modern bathrooms. There are 2 spacious loft rooms with wooden floors each with a large balcony totalling 120 m2 of living space.
In addition you can enjoy covered terraces with views of the surrounding foothills, daily lovely sunsets and the large, lush tropical garden next to a small creek with garden pavilions.
At the lower part of the garden you will find 2 traditional wooden Thai houses on stilts and the reception & dining area.
