We were asked to leave a credit card imprint for "incidentals". (This isn't usual, but I understand, sort of.) The problem was that the company policy was that the CC must be validated with a PIN. I haven't used a PIN with a CC for years and couldn't remember mine. It took 8 minutes for a manager to be called, who allowed the worker to accept a Debit Card to be used. "We'll cancel the charge when they cheque out," he said. Alas, the worker wasn't able to deviate from the policy without management approval.

The room was large and comfortable, the bed also very comfortable. The only glich was on check=in. Lots of people checking in and only one staff person on duty. As various events were going on I expect they could have anticipated lots of people trying to check-in.
