Room was clean and staff were super kind. But the room is old and the shower is a wet room (no shower boundaries except for shower curtains) so the whole bathroom floor gets wet, and the shower water pressure is very weak.

Good choice near the University of Canterbury

I stayed 10 nights in a one-bedroom apartment at the 298 Westside Motor Lodge. It was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped to meet my needs. There were extra electrical outlets added in the bedroom, but more were needed on the wall in the living room, as the TV took up all the outlets yet I wanted to work with my laptop at the table. Wifi dropped out a few times but only for a short while. The free use of a washing machine for laundry was help[ful.

Clean, Comfortable and Well Equipped.

I can't fault the hotel.. Its the second time I have used it and when I come over again from the U.K to see my brother in Christchurch I'll use the same hotel. Its clean, comfortable and well equipped and the staff are friendly. And considering it is on a main road it is very quiet

Generally ok. The parking is quite tight and the room service was hit and miss, we have service where they clean and tidied but didnt provide additional soap or washing items. We did ask for it and got it but strange that it wasnt topped up every night. Unfortunately the spa is a complete let down, in the process of filling up the spa the hot water runs out so it isnt possible to fill the spa with hot water and there is no heater function for the spa. Once the hot water runs out, you are stuck having to shower with cold water as there is no hot water left and to top it off the clog would allow water to get through so you generally dont have a good bath either way.
