I have stayed at the fable multiple times now. The buffet breakfast is decidedly average and not worth the $$ imo, but the hotel is great, the staff are nice, it's central and easily accessible and they have a nice sauna. I always check here first when I'm staying in Christchurch!

Never stayed at Fable as they had AC issues. Moved to The Distinction. Unfortunately I was very sick. Bed was very comfortable and I was unable to have free complimentary breakfast so hard to rate my stay fairly.

Great location, so convenient to get around, city tram is literally downstairs, easy to catch buses to airport too (#8 and #29) and will definitely stay here again. Staff are very friendly and helpful; love the welcome drink at the bar; lovely greeting card and sweet macaroons in the room on arrival. Tip - politely request the room facing the stadium, and you will be amazed with the view. - The shower and tap was a little tricky to operate (adjusting water temperature)

We have stayed in this area before which is very convenient but first time at the fable. Was very comfortable, the room was on the small side but very well laid out. Had everything we needed for a great weekend and our dinner in the restaurant was beautiful. Will definitely come back.
