The owner sent us a message while we were waiting to catch our flight to say they'd let somebody else into the property for the first 2 nights of our prepaid stay. The first message was a "sorry, not my fault" with no offer of any help. I answered that it was on them to come up with a solution. They did book us into a different property for the first 2 nights. We had difficulty getting to it – out of town - whereas I knew exactly how to get to the property we had booked. We got 3 of the 5 days we booked at the property. We were without a base for the hours in between checkout and check-in at the 2 properties. We had to pack everything up again to move. But the owner refused our request that we were due some compensation for the stress and inconvenience of this experience. The place was fine but overall the experience of booking this property with Stayz has been a negative one. The owner seemed to think they are the injured party and expected us to feel sorry for them. They blamed the platforms.
