Property is amazing. May not look like much from outside but rooms are amazing. Best beds and close to 5 star type experience in the room. Amazing staff. Great service. Marty at the bar is just awesome.

Incredible service!
From the moment we came in the door, the receptionist went over and beyond to make our stay comfortable and special. She saw our heavy luggage and changed our room so we would be on the ground floor, offered us early check-in, made sure on many occasions that we were alright and opened the door for us as we were leaving with our many luggages. It was so appreciated!

A hidden gem
Very charming hotel with lots of interesting history & strong tie to RNZAF. The bathroom has heated floor, what a lovely surprise! The restaurant makes nice meals and provides good customer service. The only setback is the desk inside the room was too small and there’s no power point near the desk, a bit difficult for a business traveler.

We enjoyed the room (nicely decorated) and the building and history attached to it. However the overall experience was spoiled by the debris and rubbish outside our bedroom window, the fact we where supplied a very limited amount of milk (only allowed for one cup of tea each) as well as that the bed was poorly made up for our second night stay. Given what what we where charged a night this was very disappointing and would not return or recommend to others
