The only people at the front desk besides me were asking for a refund because they didnt like the room. I was so repulsed by the guest entrance, with cigarettes floating in water, a tire rim, discarded clothing and garbage right around the doorway, and the completely empty parking lot with a few dodgey looking types hanging about, that i got a wierd vibe and was really turned off. I work hard for my money and although the hotel is not expensive, it is still 100$ and i woyld rather sleep in a car than pay for a crappy hotel. As
expedia doesnt offer refunds if you are unhappy.
I called immediately anyways to say i didnt want to stay there! according to the person on the phone, hotel mgmt was not available for several days..... im still waiting to hear back from expedia and i left the hotel room paid for but unoccupied. I have never ever done that before. I will never use travel lodge or expedia again, its not the first time i was left empty handed bu using expedia, but it is the first time i felt compelled to complain.
