Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Location is great for exploring the city and parking was very simple in the garage across the street. Rooftop is a hidden gem for evenings.

The hotel needs a re furbishment, hotel room was dated in decor but the shower was abysmal, if you happened to be on the large size there would be no way you could have used it. Breakfast was reasonable but the clearing of tables if you didn’t get in early was hit or miss for a clean table.

This was the most expensive room that I booked in Portugal and it was the biggest disappointment. Place is outdated. The shower was dilapidated. The towels felt like hard crusty napkins. Extremely overpriced for what you received. The only nice part about it was the rooftop patio.

We found the hotel to be in walking distance to the old town and all the historic sites- however the hotel is on a Main Street that is rather funky and run down. The staff were great and there is a nice bar that offers snacks in the hotel. They also provided free parking in a garage across the street. Breakfast buffet was included, so that was good. Our room and bathroom were just OK - We had a balcony overlooking the old city. It rained most of the time we were there, which affected the use of the balcony! Overall, Coimbra is very historic and interesting, but I would recommend a day trip instead of an overnight stay.

Got the job done

The hotel was average but centrally located. The staff was really nice. They don't provide shampoo and conditioner and the lotion was very low quality. The shower is small and leaked water onto the floor. The breakfast in the morning was nice.
