Magnificent view but thatâs about it. Property felt cheap had several problems. The property shares a common wall with the adjacent property with an interconnecting door in the living area. Noises, footsteps, talking etc could all heard clearly from the adjoining property. The bed was terrible and creaked on even the slightest movement. Flooring at entrance isnât finished properly (it appears as though they ran out of vinyl flooring and just left large gaps). There are cobwebs all over the balcony and exterior property. The property lacks some basics for its price, such as a dishwasher. It also only has a small two person lounge (another lounge could easily be fitted to look out towards the water and make the space more relaxing). Although not the properties fault, there is also a bad mosquito problem at night, meaning you can sit in the balcony for sunset and doors/windows need to be kept closed. Overall it was a really disappointing stay and you are certainly paying for the view only.
We had a very comfortable few nights here while exploring Freycinet Peninsula. The cottage is one half of a duplex and ideal if you want to stay with others but have a bit of separate space. The view of the bay is wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. Minor issues are that the TV is a very small model and the kitchen lacks enough glasses to have friends over who were staying nearby.
