Lots of noise from nearby construction, church bells at all hours, and dinner/pub crowds dining outdoors. The windows would shut out the noise, but the room was hot and stuffy with windows closed.

Great location near to Cathedral and Fruh beer hall. Free coffee machine in reception was a nice touch and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The early morning alarm was unique too 😉.

Hotel was nice and centrally located. Nice staff. Close to train station and plenty of food and entertainment options. However lots of construction noise starting at 7 am. Crowd noise until 11 pm.

Our room was very hot, like a sweat box. There was no air con. Opened window but the noise was too much. Out of our window, right next to us was an active building site. Started 6:20am and ended round 5:30pm. Paid a high price for the room but sadly not value for money. Thank God we only stayed one night! Staff were friendly which was the only positive.

Do not recommend. Not worth the price at all. Construction starts at 6:30am. Loud. WiFi does not work. No AC. Mosquitoes in room. TV does not work. Staff was not helpful with our concerns.

Excellent accommodation for a short visit to Cologne old town. The room we booked overlooked part of the cathedral, unfortunatly also a large building renovation which is perhps inevitable in any big city.

While it was nice for my budget, when I asked for additional towels late at night they simple said ‘no you’ll have to wait in the morning’. I have never had anyone deny towels to me. I asked him ‘so am I just not suppose to have towels’ and he said ‘yes you’ll have to wait for my colleague in the morning’. It was the weirdest, interaction I’ve ever had in a hotel. Also there’s construction happening next door and it was very loud every morning which makes it rough to sleep because they don’t offer air conditioning so you have to sleep with the windows open

A perfect stay! The view was stunning, and the location couldn’t be better, right by the station, which made getting around super easy. The staff was kind, welcoming, and always helpful. As a solo traveler and foreigner, I felt completely safe and comfortable. I highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!

We liked the location, but other than that had a bad experience with this hotel. Room was incredibly hot and very uncomfortable, the bed was rock hard. There is a construction project on going right beside the hotel so if you plan on relaxing in your room for a few hours during the day the only thing you will hear is the construction just feet away from your window. To top it off, there was a concert being held extremely close to the hotel as well which made for a long first night as it was as if you were in the middle of the crowd with how loud it was.
