Come and breathe in the mountain air! Enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the wildlife while lounging in the Adirondack chairs on the wrap around deck. Relax and nap in front of the picturesque windows while enjoying the warmth of the wood stove. Play a friendly game with a loved one at the game table, or get lost in a good book in the leather sofa. Feel like you are alone on top of the world while soaking in the hot tub. There’s something for everyone!

This mountain home sits on 6 wooded acres just South of Hwy 24 with a fantastic view of Pikes Peak. Nestled in the Pines and Aspens with beautiful rock formations to explore on the property. Enjoy the privacy, but still have easy access to all local attractions. Close to world class fly fishing at Eleven Mile Canyon, Eleven Mile Reservoir, Spinney Mountain Reservoir and the Dream Stream. You can also enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and four wheeling in nearby Pike National Forest.

The interior features 2200 sq. ft. with vaulted ceilings and large floor to ceiling windows in the spacious Great Room. Custom slate flooring with radiant in floor heat along with the wood burning stove, will keep you toasty in the winter. Even the garage has radiant floor heating! An entertainment center with 65' HDTV, internet, Free WiFi, Free YoutubeTV and a stereo to listen to music will allow you to relax in the Great Room. Downstairs bedroom has TV, and Game Cube system for the kids.

The home was decorated by an interior designer with quality lodge furnishings and warm colors. With the open concept, it is cozy enough for 2, but roomy enough for the entire family. You’ll enjoy cooking meals in the large well equipped kitchen with KitchenAide gas stove top, large KitchenAide oven and Bosch dishwasher. Enjoy the views as your grilling on the wrap around deck or stargazing after a long day of outdoor activities in the 6 person Hot Tub.

Centrally located to all the activities in and close to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, and the Cliff Dwellings, but don't forget about the Canon City area, where some of the best white water rafting happens. The train ride through the Royal Gorge is highly recommended. You can also head over Hosier pass and visit the Ski areas like Breckenridge - about 80 miles away. Take the kids to the North Pole and Pikes Peak only 25 minutes away.

Cripple Creek: This cabin is approximately 30 minutes from our mining and casino town - Cripple Creek. Something for everyone to do up there. It is home to one of the largest active gold mines. Take a mining tour, a train ride, visit wonderful restaurants, entertainment etc.

We keep the driveway plowed of snow in the winter, however we do recommend 4 wheel drive.

The Bear Cub Lodge was the perfect place for our vacation in CO. The cabin was clean and well kept. The hot tub off the primary bedroom was perfect! The views from nearly every room was a treat. We found time to play the board games and games in the garage! There was not one thing we did not love about this place. It was absolutely perfect and I highly recommend!

We had a great time at Bear Cub Lodge. The property and surrounding area was beautiful. The view from the deck and living area of Pike’s Peak made for a beautiful view. We spent alot of our time in Manitou Springs and the drive to and from wasn’t bad at all. Lots of good eats in Divide and Woodland Park. Gorgeous scenery. Lots of things to do in the area. Communication with the owner was great. We would definitely recommend this and would stay here again!

I stayed here with my husband, two boys and my dad and mother in law. The house was perfect. The main living area was up stairs, very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Lots of windows so you can enjoy the scenery. The boys and I have never seen snow. They woke up on the first day like it was Christmas morning. We had so much fun playing in the existing snow, and got lucky and had fresh snow to play in a couple times during our stay. They had great amenities with the ping pong table, football, snowball maker things, little sled seat things. Which my boys loved using to slide down the hill in the back of the property!! They include rocks/guest book for you to decorate/ leave a note. Such an adorable touch to see other peoples notes that have stayed. My only small disappointment was, I packed a few dvds to watch with he family and there wasn't a dvd player. But they did have tis that you could access Netflix and such. So, over all not a big deal. We created such wonderful memories. Thank you so much for opening your home to us.

Clean, adorable, beautiful, I could use more positive adjectives but seriously great for a staycation outside of the Springs. Drive was easy, town isn’t far away if you need anything. Heated floors, amazing view of pikes peak. Kids had a blast “hunting for bears” around the property. Clearly a well maintained property. Up to date & had amenities.

Lovely cabin getaway!We’ve stayed at the owner’s other cabin several times, and this was our first time at this one. It was just as wonderful. The cabin is spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need. It’s close to plenty of family-friendly activities yet still feels peaceful and secluded. The owner is always so kind, responsive, and easy to work with. We highly recommend this cabin and look forward to coming back!

Very clean, comfortable, homey feeling lodge. Seems like you are in the middle of nowhere yet remarkably close to anything you want to do. Mueller State Park is a gem if you like hiking. Highly recommend this VRBO!
