Come and breathe in the mountain air! Enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the wildlife while lounging in the Adirondack chairs on the wrap around deck. Relax and nap in front of the picturesque windows while enjoying the warmth of the wood stove. Play a friendly game with a loved one at the game table, or get lost in a good book in the leather sofa. Feel like you are alone on top of the world while soaking in the hot tub. There’s something for everyone!

This mountain home sits on 6 wooded acres just South of Hwy 24 with a fantastic view of Pikes Peak. Nestled in the Pines and Aspens with beautiful rock formations to explore on the property. Enjoy the privacy, but still have easy access to all local attractions. Close to world class fly fishing at Eleven Mile Canyon, Eleven Mile Reservoir, Spinney Mountain Reservoir and the Dream Stream. You can also enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and four wheeling in nearby Pike National Forest.

The interior features 2200 sq. ft. with vaulted ceilings and large floor to ceiling windows in the spacious Great Room. Custom slate flooring with radiant in floor heat along with the wood burning stove, will keep you toasty in the winter. Even the garage has radiant floor heating! An entertainment center with 65' HDTV, internet, Free WiFi, Free Netflix, Hulu, and a stereo to listen to music will allow you to relax in the Great Room. Downstairs bedroom has TV, Blu Ray DVD, Netflix, and Game Cube system for the kids.

The home was decorated by an interior designer with quality lodge furnishings and warm colors. With the open concept, it is cozy enough for 2, but roomy enough for the entire family. You’ll enjoy cooking meals in the large well equipped kitchen with gas Wolf stove top, large KitchenAide oven and Bosch dishwasher. Enjoy the views as your grilling on the wrap around deck or stargazing after a long day of outdoor activities in the 6 person Hot Tub.

Centrally located to all the activities in and close to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, and the Cliff Dwellings, but don't forget about the Canon City area, where some of the best white water rafting happens. The train ride through the Royal Gorge is highly recommended. You can also head over Hosier pass and visit the Ski areas like Breckenridge - about 80 miles away. Take the kids to the North Pole and Pikes Peak only 25 minutes away.

Cripple Creek: This cabin is approximately 30 minutes from our mining and casino town - Cripple Creek. Something for everyone to do up there. It is home to one of the largest active gold mines. Take a mining tour, a train ride, visit wonderful restaurants, entertainment etc.

We keep the driveway plowed of snow in the winter, however we do recommend 4 wheel drive.

Bear Cub Lodge was amazing! The cabin was remote and yet close enough to the events we had planned. We had everything we needed for our stay and more This is such an awesome cabin and we hope that next time we come back (we will!) the fire pit will be available to be used. Amazing Home - Perfect for Two

It was great! Excellent views, super quiet, and adequately supplied. Anything you need to know is in the book. Girl’s getaway

A perfect girls getaway to the serene mountains! Just 3 of us this trip. Friends since middle school and now in our 50’s, spent a couple nights here to catch up and have fun! Second stay was just as great as the first

You will not regret staying at Bear Cub. This was our second stay and can’t wait for the next. You will want 4 wheel drive. Furniture is comfortable and kitchen is well stocked with gadgets for those that enjoy cooking. Hot tub is great as are the games in the basement. There are also puzzles and games in the living room closet. And the views are amazing!

White Christmas

The cabin was fantastic and met all of our needs with a fully kitchen! The host, Michael was on point and responded quickly. I appreciated the fact that there was a decorated Christmas tree made my life a lot easier with 3 kids. It snowed a little bit on Christmas day which ended our vacation with a dream come true. Relaxing

It was rejuvenating experience that was as relaxing as it was soothing. The views were majestically breathtaking and a real sight to behold. We really enjoyed the heated floors and the wood pile was stocked so we could enjoy the cold snowy days cozied up by the fire.

Great mountain property

Great views, great mountain house set up to make visitors feel like they are at a second home. Held a Friendsgiving with two families. Kitchen well we equipped and their was plenty of activities for the kids and adults between the games set up in the garage and the board game closet.

The View is Worth the Drive!

Weekend getaway

This hoem was a great get away for our group that visited Colorado for some outdoor adventure and hiking. The home had great views, an awesome open floorplan and plenty of extras to help fill the downtime such as board games, ping pong, cornhole and more. It snowed while we were there but the driveway was plowed early without us requesting any assistance. Very clean and would definitely recommend.

Family Getaway

Our stay at Bear Cub Lodge was great! Our host offered several great suggestions on things to do in the area and places to eat. We had a little hiccup with the hot water but he answered very quickly and offered a temporary solution, as well as kept us updated on repairing. The views were amazing! The house was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed playing UNO and hot tubbing in the evenings after our days of exploring the surrounding communities. Thanks for the great stay!
