This cabin is in a rural area accessible by well-maintained unpaved roads. Soak in the peace and quiet and see the wildlife. It is central to numerous Colorado outdoor attractions and state parks. It is about a 45 minute drive to Colorado Springs where you will find every store imaginable if something is needed, and it is a 15 minute drive to Woodland Park where you will find grocery stores and Walmart. Due to its rural location, you will not find public transportation and getting an Uber/Lyft could be difficult. You will find plenty of hiking, fishing, hunting, snowshoeing and many other outdoor activities.
The cabin was so wonderful, lots of small, thoughtful touches that made it special. The blended into the environment perfectly. The cabin's kitchen was stocked, firewood for the pit, pellets for the indoor fire. We came during the winter, but i can easily see it being a wonderful place in the summer with so many activities it you take a day at the cabin or go fishing. We recommended this place whatever the reason or season you choose to come. The host responds quickly. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Had a great stay at the cabin. We got to enjoy snow with the kids, prepare a delicious meal which we had everything needed to do so and of course relax. 10/10 will hopefully be returning in the future. Thanks for having us! Respectfully,The Martinez Family
I really wanted to give this stay a great review â the cabin has amenities we enjoyed â but I cannot. The owners have posted harsh, intimidating signage warning that they âmeterâ water use and will fine guests for âoveruse.â We were just two people, hiking all day and taking short showers every other day, yet the cistern still ran dry. When I contacted the management company, they tried to blame us. Then they admitted there is no meter at all â the sign is simply meant to scare and intimidate guests. Clearly the management company forgot to fill the cistern for our stay.Without water, nothing works â no toilets, no showers, no drinking water, no coffee, no laundry, no nothing. Their âsolutionâ was to suggest we drive into town and buy bottled water, which theyâd reimburse. What a joke.Stay here at your own risk. If the management company fails to keep the cistern filled, youâll be left without basic sanitation â doing your #2 man business in the woods, like I had to. They offered no help and no compensation for the days we were without this essential resource. Also, it is not lake front in any sense of the word.
It was great location. Everything worked great. Here are a couple things we noticed:Upon our arrival the door code did not work on the front door. The back door was not locked when we arrivedIn the sauna was a small spider when we took care of. Also, one of the small key boards in the sauna is coming loose and falling out of place. We did not find any grey for the sauna as described in the house guide. The garage can out by the road was knocked over. Trash was spread out on the ground. We picked it all up and secured the trash can. Thank you for letting use your home. We appreciate it.
Decided to rent this cabin for a last minute R&R trip. The cabin was nice and had a lot of amenities. The kitchen had everything needed if you plan to prepare meals or bake. However, the beds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable, very firm. They were so firm, they brought out every ache and pain imaginable. I've traveled a lot so I'm used to beds not being exactly as I'd like but usually they are in the middle of firm & soft. I almost left early since i wasn't getting sleep (rest, the 1st R in R&R). Both beds were the same. If you like firm mattresses you will be in heaven. Note: You may not get cell service. Make sure you save the wifi password so you can access the app if you need to get your door code when you arrive. The code is sent at check-in time so you may not have it in advance.
We enjoyed our stay. Nice facility and very peaceful. Our only complaint was the beds were so uncomfortable. Itâs hard to explain but the mattress was extremely firm yet created a hole where ever you laid. Overall a great experience.
Booked a last minute stay after having a rough week in Denver and it was just what the doctor ordered. The place was great, well equipped, amazing manual for the house and lots of nice little touches. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We have lived in Colorado for the last 27 years and we enjoy the mountains. We had an opportunity for a quick trip to the mountains during a break in the weather to check on our property in the area. Found this adorable cabin on VRBO and didnât need to look any further. Perfect for any occasion. Our only problem is we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the sauna. We will definitely be coming backđ€â€ïž
The property was extremely clean and peaceful. We loved sitting on the large deck with our dog and just enjoyed the fresh air. Great place to relax and rest as well as be adventurous! Thanks for sharing!
What a wonderful little cabin. We chose this location for the dark skies and the hope of no loud fireworks as our dog has extreme reaction to loud noises. This location was PERFECT. The cabin was so cute, the 2 decks were where we spent all our time when we weren't out exploring the beautiful country around us. The hammock, the sauna, the firepit area and the horseshoe pit were also a huge plus. We drove to Victor to see Rita the Rock Gardner Troll, and explored all the cute little towns near by, including Guffey, Delta, Cripple Creek...If you are looking for a quaint and quiet place to get away, this is it. I will say you get to enjoy the neighbors many farm animals talking throughout the day, we found it amusing, especially the Turkey. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We will be back.
