Looking for the perfect getaway. You just found it at The Getaway. It’s the perfect Columbia, SC vacation spot on Lake Murray. Relaxing Columbia Lake House w/ Private Dock, Outdoor Kitchen, WiFi & Fire Pits. Sit on the dock and watch the sunset. Drink your morning coffee in the gazebo overlooking the water. Roast marshmallow and make s’mores at the fire pit. Cook your favorite meal on the grill at the outdoor kitchen. Bring a float and play in the water. The choice is yours. It can all happen at The Getaway. Beautiful Lake House with Deluxe Upgrades. Outdoor kitchen with 2 grills. Outdoor fireplace with fire pit.

Guests are welcome to bring their boat and dock it at our private dock. You won't be able to launch it from our property but you can launch it from the dam which is a 5 minute drive from the lake house. We do have plenty of room to store your boat trailer once your boat is launched from the dam.

The boat lift can be used for a pontoon boat. We no longer have the jet ski landing pad shown in the video.

The dock and lake view are excellent. "Its all out back". Most of the lake Murray rentals don't have a multiple mile open water view off the dock. And they don't look west.

Beautiful Vacation Home

This is a lovely and well maintained home with absolutely beautiful grounds and an incredible outdoor kitchen. It was well-appointed with everything we needed. The pictures do not adequately convey how beautiful it is. The host was very accommodating and allowed some of the other members of our family staying in another house to fish the dock and to gather for an outdoor family meal. When yard maintenance or trash pickup was necessary during our week stay, she communicated with us well in advance. We are regular travelers to Lake Murray, and we highly recommend this home!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property and outdoor space is beautiful and relaxing. The house was clean with plenty of kitchen supplies/tools. We used the outdoor gas grill several times. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great Location, Great Host

We had a fantastic stay at this property! Mrs. Debra was incredibly communicative and always available to assist with anything we needed. The view was absolutely stunning, and the furniture was both stylish and comfortable. Our favorite part was the wraparound deck—it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy breathtaking sunsets. We’re already looking forward to booking again when the weather warms up!

Perfect family vacation home

We spent our Christmas here .. the hosts did a such a sweet job of decorating for the holiday that we felt just like we were home ourselves. We gathered with my local family and the location was perfect for meeting with everyone .. smores by the campfire was a fun activity for all of us. Lots of space to spread out yet cozy to spend time together. Sitting on the deck watching the sunset was my favorite part of the day there. We definitely plan to come back in warmer weather to enjoy more of the outdoor grill options. A truly special holiday for us, thank you Debra!

Great "Getaway"

Stayed here in late June for a family trip and to experience Lake Murray. This place was perfect. The host was great and responsive. Amenities were better than advertised including outdoor kitchen, dock & swimming, and plenty of places to relax. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location on the lake was great and very close to a Publix grocery which was very convenient. We were able to charter a captain to pick us up right at the dock for a day on the lake. We will certainly book again in the future. We can't wait to come back!

Wonderful house and location

A definite 10/10! The house is amazing and the outdoor spaces are perfect for enjoying Lake Murray. Debra is a gracious and responsive host and her attention to detail is much appreciated. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy family meals. The multiple outdoor spaces are perfect for cooking, dining, relaxing and family game night. I highly recommend The Getaway and we hope to visit again.
