Une expérience unique de vie de château vous tente-t-elle ? Séjournez chez nous, dans l'un des deux appartements de l'Orangerie. Notre petit domaine est situé idéalement dans une région touristique pleine d'intérêt et non loin de la mer :
* à 20 min. de voiture de la mer et des plages du Débarquement
* à 7 km de Bayeux, ville pure 18ème avec sa cathédrale et la plus que millénaire tapisserie de la reine Mathilde
* à 1.15 min. du Mont St. Michel,
* près de Deauville, Honfleur, Cabourg.
* tout près : châteaux, jardins à la française, jardins normands, paysages grandioses...
* et surtout, de bons petits restaurants, dégustation de vins...

Nous vous accueillerons dans nos deux suites champêtres de 160 m² chacune, qui ont été aménagées dans l'Orangerie laquelle jouxte notre petit château pur 18ème. Sites touristiques, balades, restaurants et autres monuments historiques, nous serons là pour vous conseiller.... et de vous raconter l'histoire de notre château (et les anecdotes amusantes) dans un de nos salons, autour d'un thé, café, voire même d'un apéritif.
Grand confort et esprit château (cheminée, meubles de marque neufs ou chinés, tissus toile de Jouy et d’éditeur d’inspiration 18ème siècle, vaisselle ancienne, tableaux originaux, superbe dallage opus romain ...).
Réception et accueil : 9.30 à 11.30 tous les jours. En dehors de ces horaires, vous pourrez nous joindre par sms.

Description détaillée :
Chaque suite comporte un salon avec cheminée, salle à manger, cuisine, chambre parentale avec salle de bain au rez-de-chaussée, deux chambres à l’étage, avec salle de douche. Chaque chambre dispose d'un bureau et d'un coin salon.

Chacune des deux suites comprend :
A)
* chambres à coucher avec literie d'hôtel haut de gamme, dimension 160/200 cm
2 chambres à l'étage, toit cathédrale à 3.80 m, se partageant une salle de douche avec toilette.
Dans les 2 chambres à l'étage pour la suite Pastel et dans l'une pour la suite Baroque se trouvent des canapés-lits d'une personne.

* cuisine aménagée entièrement équipée (machine à laver la vaisselle, plaques de cuisson à induction, four, micro-ondes, grille-pain, bouilloire, mixer, etc.
* Salon : télévision et autres
* Jardin commun aux propriétaires et aux deux suites, mais :

Stunning chateau in the heart of Normandy

We had a wonderful three day stay in this beautiful chateau. Claudia welcomed us with a cold bottle of champagne and gave a tour of the property which she and her husband had renovated beautifully. Everything was exceptional with easy access to the town of Bayeux and the beaches. We would love to come again.

Best stay of our time in France

-The castle is beautiful, quiet, escape from the everyday bustle of the city. Yet it was not far for our visit to the Normandy Beaches and Mont Saint Michelle. We relaxed by the water, grilled dinner, and drank champagne on the terrace, while enjoying the sounds of nature. Claudia made us feel welcome and at home. We are looking forward to returning.

Charming, historic & comfortable

Claudia has renovated and decorated this historic chateau beautifully. It still has the charm of the history, but with modern amenities. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped and the showers were wonderful. The apartment was spacious and the grounds are peaceful and idyllic. It’s located perfectly for visiting the beaches, discovering William the Conqueror, and enjoying all Normandy has to offer. Also within an hour & half of Mont St Michel. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful place to stay

We loved our stay. Claudia was a very responsive and welcoming host who obviously takes great pride in her property. The property is in a beautiful setting. The views in the photos are completely accurate. It’s also very comfortably furnished and dog friendly. Beautiful house and location

We had a wonderful stay here in June. The property is gorgeous, light-filled and roomy, looking out over the gardens and lake. Lots of space both indoors and outdoors. It's beautifully laid out and equipped, and the owners are lovely and very helpful. It's very close to both Bayeux and the coast, yet feels in the middle of the countryside, so there's plenty to do but it feels very relaxing at the same time. We loved it and will be back!

We loved this property. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Loved drinking a glass of wine out by the pond. The home has everything you need for a home away from home. Wonderful home in a restful setting

We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully appointed apartment. It is as described in the listing and other reviews. We received a warm welcome and proud tour of the property. The apartment is spacious, and tastefully decorated with period furniture, while having all the modern conveniences. The castle is set in a relaxing rural setting, yet convenient for exploring Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. We would love to return.

Great stay, very spacious

We had a great stay. The orange tie is very spacious and fits six adults easily. Claudia is a great host and has every right to be proud of how she decorated every room. She is very much prepared to talk about details of wallpaper and furniture. We brought our dogs and they have ample room. Bringing your dog or dogs always requires you to make adjustments, not only here but also in other accommodations. The beds weren’t as comfortable for us as other reviewers described. The bathrooms were great, and the kitchen has all the needed basics. Normandy is vast, so be prepared to do a lot of driving. But this location is a great start of your explorations.

Beautiful property great location

If you are going to Normandie and want to visit the landing beaches, and all the beautiful towns, this is a great place to stay. We were unable to check in at 4 PM as noted and had to wait till almost 6 PM which was disappointing after a long day of travel. We also didn’t find out until arrival that there were no towels, napkins, coffee , filters or any kind of basic food items as it is not allowed in France per our host. the kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, but there is no soap, paper towels, napkins, which required us to go back to the store to buy these items. The beds are comfortable. The views are beautiful and the location is superb. We totally enjoyed the stay, but there were a few inconveniences that would’ve been nice to be informed of ahead of time.

Wonderful spot with caveats!

This property is lovely. It's almost a 5 star but... We were two couples traveling together. We like to have separate bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms for our own space and privacy. The main floor bedroom is off the living area and has a bath attached with a shower, tub and sink...no toilet. The toilet for this bedroom is actually a half bath outside of the bedroom off the living room. It's a minor thing if you're traveling with close friends but a little awkward. The laundry is separate from the apartments but just next door. The kitchen was indeed without the basics although there were coffee filters. Plan to stop at the grocery store on your way! The seating area in the living room isn't terribly comfortable for four people but we didn't spend much time there so it was fine for us. The location was great but does require driving for everything. We found two great boulangerie/patisseries in neighboring towns where we stopped each day for breakfast. They are Grains and Gourmandises in Fontenay-le-Pesnel, and Douceurs et Traditions in Tilly-sur-Seulles. Overall, this was a great place to stay at a very reasonable price. Claudia was very nice and helpful. We would recommend it!

Amazing property & hostess

We just finished our stay at this incredible property. This pictures really don't do it justice - it's been lovingly restored / decorated with textiles consistent with the period. Staying here is like stepping back in time to a french country estate but with the benefit of modern plumbing ;) The claw foot tub fits 2 adults and due to the very cold & windy weather while we were there in January, we soaked and drank a glass of sparkling wine both nights. Both bathrooms also had walk in showers which I don't believe are visible entirely in the listing. (my only suggestion....I hated using the pristine, crisp white cotton decorative euro pillows to sleep on. I was afraid that any remnants of make up could stain them..) Claudia is a dream hostess, so accommodating, excellent communication before and during our stay and she went out of her way to help us find a local restaurant during the 'off season' when nearly everything was closed; which is something to keep in mind when looking to travel to the Normandy/ Bayeux area in late January. We arrived on a Monday night and the only place open in the entire town of Bayeux was a tiny Kabob place. We were starving and they were very kind to us and it hit the spot. But the theme of businesses being closed entirely or having very few business hours continued - something to consider. We would highly recommend Claudia and this listing and would stay here again and again!

Excellent séjour dans un lieu raffiné

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Condé. La maison est spacieuse, décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Très au calme, elle constitue un excellent point de départ pour visiter la région. Claudia et son mari sont des hôtes absolument charmants. Si l'occasion se présente à nouveau, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir chez eux.

Très belle demeure, très confortable et très bien décorée. .

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine, très reposante dans ce très bel endroit. Les propriétaires sont accueillants, très sympathiques, disponibles et aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes. La literie, de très grande qualité, est parfaite. Il y a tout le confort moderne, les équipements nécessaires et un très bon chauffage en cet période hivernale bien froide. La région offre beaucoup d'attraction.

Demeure de charme dans un écrin de verdure

Nous étions trois et avons passé deux agréables semaines à l’orangerie du château. L’endroit est très bien situé pour visiter les plages du débarquement,Caen et son mémorial ainsi que Deauville, Cabourg et Honfleur.Bayeux qui est à proximité est une ville très agréable avec de nombreux commerces. Nous avons apprécié le grand parc arboré et le calme des lieux. L’intérieur est très lumineux avec de grands volumes,meublé et décoré avec beaucoup de raffinement alliant l’ancien avec le confort moderne.La literie est de très bonne qualité. Madame Bonneu nous a réservé un très bon accueil et elle a parfaitement répondu à toutes nos demandes. C’est avec une pointe de regret que nous avons quitté cet endroit car nous avions pris goût à la vie de château.

Beautiful place in a great location!

The hostess Claudia speaks great English, is warm and inviting, and offers good information. We were a family of six who greatly enjoyed the property and had plenty of room. The location was excellent for exploring the region, near both Caen and Bayeux. We highly recommend this lovely property and would gladly stay again. This beautiful place provides everything you need to be comfortable. There is a nicely equipped kitchen area and laundry facilities if needed. It is best to have a car at this location, but there is ample parking.

Dream Chateau in the French Country Side

What a wonderful place to stay. The décor and surroundings gave us the feeling of being in France during the golden days of country living. Our VRBO had three very comfortable bed rooms - great for three couples traveling together. The kitchen and living area made was roomy and beautifully decorated. You do need to have a car to enjoy the VRBO and the surrounding area. We toured Mont St, Michel, Bayeux and the D-Day beaches, The little town near the chateau was a great place for a leisurely walk, Out host Claudia was very helpful in both planning for our stay and during our stay, We especially enjoyed our coffee with her when she shared the rich history of the chateau with us, The VRBO was not just a place to stay but a major part of our Normandy experience, Should we ever stay in Normandy again we would surely return.

Modern castle

Beautiful interior design with historical elegance. Great location. We were greeted upon our arrival by Claudia, a most gracious host with suggestions for restaurants and grocery stores in the area. A complimentary bottle of champagne set the perfect tone for our first trip to France. Merci.
