The finca

Situated in the Natural Park Sierra Norte, but at the same time within walking distance from the village (400m), you get the best of both worlds. Peace and quiet of nature without depending on a car for everything. The large garden with lots of green makes it unique compared to other houses in the area.

The main house

The house has been decorated with care. It has a living room with a fireplace with beautiful views at the garden and the pool. The large kitchen is designed to make cooking a social event. You can of course also cook outside using the barbecue or the paella set.

There is a double bedroom downstairs and a bathroom with toilet, bidet and shower. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms. A bathroom with toilet, shower and bath tub.

In the additional building there are four additional double bedrooms, each with its en-suite bathroom with shower.

Outside

The garden is 9,000 m2 large, with a lovely green lawn that refreshes in summer. There are different types of fruit trees and flowers almost all year round. The remainder of the finca has a surface of 5 hectares and consists of mainly chestnut trees and almond trees.

Trés chouette semaine

L'endroit est trÚs sympa et trÚs bien entretenu. Lola et son mari nous ont trÚs bien accueillis. Les extérieurs sont magnifiques, la pelouse un vrai bonheur et la maison est grande et décorée avec gout. Nous avons passé une trÚs agréable semaine, merci beaucoup

Prachtige, gemoderniseerde, oude boerderij

Het huis met bijgebouw en prachtige grote tuin is fantastisch voor een onbezorgde vakantie ter plaatse, Het stadje Constantinopel heeft een fijne supermarkt maar verder niet veel te bieden. Voor interessante uitstapjes is een trip naar Sevilla of Cordoba echt noodzakelijk, als je de afstand, ruim een uur rijden, geen probleem vindt.

Excellent - great hosts

We had a fantastic stay at La Escribana. The house is perfect and the garden is very spacious and verdant. The couple that look after the property, Lola and Fernando, are extremely attentive and were a real pleasure to meet- they attended every day to sort the pool and tend the immaculate garden and were always happy to offer suggestions for local bars, restaurants, trips, etc. Maarten, the owner of the property, was in communication from the start and was very responsive and helpful dealing with any queries. Constantina is a pleasant, working agricultural town which does not get many tourists. The property is outside the village itself, is only a 10 min walk away and has all the amenities you may need- a good range of supermarkets/food shops and plenty of bars with excellent food. Sevilla and Cordoba are about an hour's drive away, the lovely city of Carmona 45 mins. We would highly recommend and would love to go back again.

A fabulous hideaway

The property was superb. It was tastefully decorated and furnished, and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. It felt much more like a home than a rental. The online listing doesn't do justice to the lovely gardens and the spacious comfort of the main house, which, despite the fierce heat, was always cool. The secondary house of four en suites was also comfortable and relatively cool. The house is almost totally secluded, yet Constantina was an only a ten minute walk away, and is a characterful Spanish town - certainly much more than a village. It is truly Spanish - very little English spoken there, which made it seem delightfully unspoilt. Finally a special thanks to Lola and Fernando, the couple who look after the house and who were always on hand when needed.

Fantastic week’s holiday

We were an extended family group of ten (6 adults and 4 children), and this was a much needed holiday. The villa was spacious, comfortable, characterful and set in a beautiful location with large gardens and a short walk into the town. We loved Constantina which was a traditional Spanish town and were there for Holy Week and enjoyed the processions. We had a great day out in Seville too, and plenty to see and do. Due to our party size, some of us slept in the separate house which had separate en-suite rooms. The swimming pool is unheated and a tad chilly as it was only April but the children enjoyed it. There was plenty of space to enjoy the garden and sunshine. We enjoyed eating out but also used the BBQ and had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook. Maarten was very helpful prior to us arriving and kept us informed of local events whilst we were there. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week away and would definitely recommend.

Great Holiday

Beautiful villa in lovely grounds in a quiet location and not too far to walk into Constantina. The villa was well equipped and stocked with oil , herbs, spices etc. There were grapes, tomatoes, peppers, chillis, figs and courgettes growing in the garden which were delicious. We were too late for the berries ;(. Maarten was a great host and responded to questions really quickly and was very flexible with our departure time. Maarten recommended a couple of places to eat, our favourite being Bodeguita Fale II. I would definitely recommend staying here. We were a party of 6 and there was plenty of room for more people.

Beautiful villa in lovely grounds.

We were a family party of adults. The villa has very good facilities and the accommodation is very attractive. The village is within a few minutes walk and we liked the fact that there were no other tourists around. It is in lovely countryside. The owner, Maarten, was very helpful. We would recommend it.

Fantastic place!

This estate is absolutely amazing! Beautifully renovated and decorated, loads of space inside and outside and everything was squeaky clean. We were 12 people in the age of 16 to 77 and everybody felt comfortable Outside you can enjoy the magnificent garden, play football, swim in the swimming pool, play table tennis or just rest on one of the various terraces, always possible to adjust to either shade or sun. Inside you will find a big and well equipped kitchen, big rooms with comfortable beds, the heating system worked well and we had plenty of warm water when showering. Its within walking distance of Constantina, handy for shopping groceries and for restaurants. Small hikes (approx 5-8 km) are just outside the door, and with a car both Sevilla, Cordoba and the national park are easily explored. Biking on the Via Verde is very much recommended! If you arrive on a Saturday afternoon, be aware to shop groceries on your way, since all shops are closed down Saturday afternoon and all Sunday. If driving up from Sevilla, do your shopping there or in Lora del Rio. Otherwise just enjoy the sounds of nature, the luxury of great taste and design Maarten was very helpful and gave us great advice on restaurants, activities and tips for Sevilla We will definitely recommend this house

Great place to stay!

We had a great 8 days vacation here! The house among its surroundings were as described on the website. The house itself was big enough for our group of 2 families (4 adults and 5 kids). In case of a bigger group of people or more privacy, there would have been also single rooms in the second house. The kitchen was well equipped and big enough to cook for the whole bunch of people We used also the fireplace in the living room which was also very nice. The garden was beautiful and big enough to play football. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool which was also cleaned periodically. Owners were very helpfull and in case we needed something it was taken care of instantly. The house is quite near to village although in perfect own privacy - only few hundred meters down the hill to nearest grocery store. I warmly recommend

Amazing, Beautiful 5 Star Villa

We Couldn't of Asked for More! The house was furnished so well, to a high standard & thought through with Guests in mind. The character of the house remains & adds an extra layer of Beauty too. The grounds are amazing with so much space for the Kids to be free. The property was well looked after during our stay too, the pool guy cleaning it every morning & the grounds being watered & even a house clean too during our stay which was very welcome. Local amenities are really close & the locals very friendly & helpful. Nice restaurants/bars/ ice cream bars & shops all within walking distance. Words really don't describe how beautiful & special this villa is! The owners are extremely helpful & nothing seemed to be a issue for them. If your looking at this Villa Book U won't be disappointed. 10/10
