Charming hotel in converted church. Excellent location in the heart of the old town. They had a special room in the pub for guests. A lovely dining experience.
Great accommodation right in the centre of Conwy with onsite parking (bonus). Lovely breakfast taken at sister hotel Erskine Arms. Refreshments in room including bottled water which would have been nicer if a fridge was available.
This is an excellent choice for a stay in Conwy. Everything is really at your doorstep, and it's just a few minutes walk to the water, castle, walls, and shops. St. Mary's Church (behind the building) makes an excellent shortcut! While we were warned about the church bells, we did NOT notice them. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Parking was an added plus.
The room was very pleasant but the mattress had seen better days so very little sleep....even my partner who can normally sleep anywhere!
Breakfast was a mixed bag....Eggs Benedict very good but the full Welsh and cold table was very disappointing and couldn't possibly be the 'best breakfast in Wales'!
Dinner the night before was nothing special and very noisy.
The location is great, near the centre of the town The related Erskine Arms is lovely with attentive and helpful staff and nice food. The breakfasts were very really good. Nice big rooms and plenty of hot water.
The only downside was the beds. In our first room, the mattress needed replacing, as the springs had gone. In the second, the plastic mattress protector made for a sweaty night. The staff were very helpful in arranging a room change. Book a table for dinner at a weekend. As it turned out we were lucky, late on Good Friday. Thanks to a very helpful restaurant supervisor. Conwy is lovely, so would stay again despite the minor irritations.
Stayed overnight on our way to our Easter Anglesey break .Chose the balcony room which was a lovely room with a great shower .Breakfast is at the Erskin Arms, just across the way.Was very tasty .Fully recommend and looking forward to our next visit
Wonderful and enjoyable visit but the young people at night got loud as they left the bars. The talking, yelling, and music went on past midnight. Not good, my wife was not happy.
Immaculate property and a great breakfast. Only let downs were finding a previous guestsâ toenail clippings on the floor and left in the wooden panel above the bed (seriously, who does that?! grim!). The main disappointment was the seriously poor sound proofing. The rooms are adjoining so in terms of sound, it was like living with room mates with the adjoining room. For the amount spent on finishing, hard to understand why the soundproofing was neglected. Other reviews seem to complain about the tolling church bells - not an issue. Theyâre not particularly loud. Bed and room otherwise extremely comfortable and property location and access was perfect.
We were very impressed with the quality of the accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Onsite parking was a bonus too. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the breakfast was good. Will definately return.
We really enjoyed our stay and how central to all the areas it was. The staff was not as friendly at first but as the visit went on they were very helpful. We would recomend this property
Beautiful property with excellent decor. Lounge area was lovely, with tea and coffee. Breakfast provided small selection but enough, but I did have to go searching for staff to ask for more coffee and some toast, so service could be better. Parking provided on site was a bonus. Enjoyed the stay though.
Wonderful b&b, with lovely big rooms and friendly staff. Perfect location in the heart of Conwy, the Y Capel is a beautifully renovated old chapel with well equipped rooms. The sister pub has wonderful food with an excellent breakfast included. Great price too. Would definitely recommend.
