I could easily have given this hotel a 5* review except for the fact that despite them claiming to have air conditioning the rooms are not truly air conditioned. On our first day I complained that despite setting the thermostat at 18*c the room temperature stayed around 22*c. And despite setting the blower speed at its highest setting (3) it would take it upon itself to turn down to 2, producing barely a wisp of air circulating in the room. It was then revealed that the system isn’t really air conditioning but rather “ventilation”. It’s either AC or not at even though the display said 22*c I suspect it was really a degree or two warmer than that. So the room was uncomfortable. I thought it was just our room but we ran into other guests who had the same complaints. Hotel staff was pleasant about it and said if it became “unbearable” to let them know and the would see what they could do. But what could they do? Move us to a different hotel? And is unbearable now the standard that they only shoot to exceed? What about just uncomfortable? Sleeping in a warm hotel room, even for just a couple of nights isn’t pleasant so I would recommend that you stay here only during cooler months or, if you have a high threshold for discomfort-if unbearable is where you draw the line then this is the place for you! Having said that it’s a very convenient location and had a great breakfast buffet. If the room was just cooler it would be perfect!
