Our secluded comfortable home sleeps 8 and comes with private hot tub and stunning mountain and valley views is the perfect get away or extended business stay, with Nike, Intel and shopping only 20 minutes away. The area hosts several wineries within 5 minutes for a delight in tasting the finest Pinot Noir in the Chehalem Mountains.
The property is currently being landscaped to include a lavender farm and its own show of Vineyard, adding to its picturesque breathtaking views.
Internet throughout the home allows for use with all of your devices and computers.
The Master bedroom with King size bed, and deck with hot tub has a sitting room with a full size sleeper couch, that can accommodate 2 more people and a cozy electric fireplace. The sitting room closes off for privacy.
The 2nd bedroom has an Queen size bed and TV with Chromecast for your entertainment. Also a DVD player.
There are two bathrooms. One with a large soaking tub and glass sliding door, that offers views of Mt Hood on a clear day, or the beautiful valley during overcast skies. Truly a beautiful atmosphere for relaxing in the bubbles.
The second bath has a shower/tub combination.
There is a full use laundry room with washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.
The living area has comfy chairs and couch with a large screen HD TV with Chromcast and Smart DVD player. There is a small collection of DVD's for your use.
The kitchen is well stocked with up to date cooking utensils and appliances.
The dining area seats up to 8.
There is a deck off the kitchen with a smoker pit and gas grill. Lovely views and a wonderful place for morning coffee or an evening gathering.

We wanted to love this home but there were issues.

Our main reason to book this house was for the hot tub and beautiful views on a relaxing family getaway. Unfortunately the hot tub did not work and no attempt was made to fix it despite a caregiver living on the property. The home was comfortable enough but needs a deep cleaning. The grounds were disappointing in that they also need a good clean up. I live on a farm and understand projects but garbage and buckets full of stagnant water are not acceptable. Check with owner to see if these concerns have been fixed before booking. The view and country setting are nice.

Lovely property for a relaxing getaway

We stayed at this property while celebrating my sister's 40th birthday. We found the place clean and well stocked. It is cutely decorated and updated with modern appliances. The views are beautiful and we enjoyed the hot tub. We were a group of 3 moms and we found it was a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quiet getaway. There is a winery that is very close that we loved. The owner also gave us a great recommendation for another winery that had wonderful pinot noirs though a little further drive. The property is nestled outside of surrounding towns so you will have to drive about 15 minutes for restaurants and shopping. We really had a lovely time here and would stay again!

Wow such a beautiful property and accommodating host. Amazing

I expected the views and hot tub to be beautiful, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how sweet and friendly the hosts are. Sunset wine tasting paired with the locations rustic charm and spectacular views of the sunrise will make you question if you are in Oregon or southern France. What a perfect way to escape the city bustle!

Best friend’s wedding

My friends and I were in town for a friend’s wedding that was being held at Horning’s Hideout. We picked this property for the location and I’m glad we did. The views from the deck were great and the house was very cute and quaint!

Best VRBO Ever!!

Came for a girls trip to rest and relax and this beautiful home did not disappoint. Gwendolyn was easy to communicate with and wonderful! All the Things we needed to relax, drink wine, and watch sunsets was ready and available! Comfy beds! Had signal with AT&T! Check in/out process was the easiest of all VRBOs I’ve stayed in! The view was breathtaking - watching the sun rise over Mt good off the back deck <3 The hit tub was the perfect temp and ready for us!

Great view from the back deck. Morning sunrise was spectacular! Wine tasting just 100 yards from the house was fantastic. Very personal and informative wine tasting with the owners. We enjoyed our stay here, and look forward to visiting again.

Had a great weekend here in Cornelius. Only recommendation is have some more paper towels/TP/garbage bags on site for use. Other than that everything was fantastic, thanks for having us!

Beautiful view....

The picture is a fair representation of the view from the property. What you don't see however is that the property is in transition and there are piles of debris, construction and otherwise, around the grounds. Gwen is a great host and was very responsive regarding any questions we had regarding the check in. The house was quaint and "funky", and in need of some general upkeep (paint, etc). Here were our issues: 1) The property description does not mention how remote the location is and the fact that it is on a gravel road. We had actually planned on staying at the property while we were on a motorcycle vacation, and the gravel road would have been a problem (fortunately or unfortunately we had mechanical issues that forced us to rent a car for this leg of our trip). 2) The one shower on the property had limited water pressure, and very little water pressure if water was running elsewhere. Plus, the water would only get up to a luke warm temperature at its hottest. Other facets provided hotter water, so it must have been mechanical with the shower controller. 3) The hot tub was at best 2/3 full, and there was "bubble-wrap" on top of the water that had to be removed after you lifted the cover. I am assuming this was some sort of insulation to keep the water hot. It was a hassle. Also, there was no step to get into the tub. Assuming the wall of the hot tub is 36", I have a 30" in-seam...you get the picture.

Makes Time Slow Down

This is the perfect rental for anyone needs to slow down and enjoy life! Incredible views of neighboring vineyards and countryside, and on clearer days, Mount St. Helens and Mt. Hood are visble on the horizon! It is perfect for sitting on the deck in comfortable lounge chairs, or in the hot tub. The wifi and TVs in the home provide sufficient opportunity for those that need to stay connected or enjoy streaming movies. The home is beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable, with plenty of linens and extra blankets, and lots of towels. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, and small appliances to make food prep easy. The owner is kind, accommodating, helpful, and quick to respond. The only thing to be aware of, is that if you have a large group, there is only 1 shower. But the large, relaxing tub in the 2nd bathroom is wonderful! You'll love renting this home!

29th Annual Girls Trip

We had a wonderful time in Portland. This property was very convenient to most everything we had on our list to do. The home was spacious, clean and very well stocked! The only issue we had was trying to learn the main smart tv in the living room - we are not that tech smart, and the master bedroom was pretty chilly during our stay and we were not able to get it warm by adjusting the remote thermostat. But we just covered up more - not a huge deal. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to be at a good location between Portland and the coast. We would definately stay here again.

Quirky layout but the home was nice. We had 6 people in my family and had to use the sofa bed which made it awkward to get from one room to another because the sofa bed is in an awkward location but it worked out. The views are amazing.
