Five Stars ALL THE WAY

This beautiful house is on the beach and is outfitted with everything you need for a fabulous stay in Corolla OBX! Bedrooms are nicely decorated and some have balconies overlooking the ocean. Great appliances incl. microwave, toaster, and even an electric griddle. Parking is spacious and convenient.Living area is really spacious and offers easy gathering areas for families.

We (two families of 5 with the youngest being 14 years old) had an amazing week and we were VERY sad for the week to end. The location was great - only steps from the beach. The house was beautiful. The host was also very helpful. I highly recommend this place, unless you try to stay when we want to stay again. (Kidding, of course)

Relaxing Week

Our stay was amazing. The house was perfect for our group of 14, everything was clean and in working order. The outdoor amenities were also fantastic. As far as location goes, I’m not sure it could have been better. Far enough away from the more touristy areas, but still had plenty of fun things for the kids to do. All the restaurants in the area were great. We had no complaints about our stay.

Fabulous!

We had a great time during our week long stay. The house has a great pool and large hot tub, within steps from the beach. Our favorite part of the house was the upper deck - great for watching the sunrise and sunset. Walking distance or a 3 minute car ride is the Juice Jar - this is a MUST and the area is super cute, a few shops, wildlife center and lighthouse. We will be back!

Good with problems

Great view of the ocean. Had to wash the bed before our granddaughter could sleep in the bed. Bed had lots of sea dirt. Door upstairs is hard to close and open and when the wind is blowing the blinds will catch against the door.

Lovely home in Corolla

This is a lovely house that has direct beach access. This was a plus for our multi-generational family gathering. The kitchen was nicely equipped with lots of dishes, cook ware, coffee pots, toaster and tea kettle. Because we were early in the season the pool was not heated, this could have been a big attraction. Due to the location, there are a lot of stairs! People with mobility issues such as bad knees will need to move carefully. Super clean and comfort!

Grand Seaside Escape

The name of our house was Grand Seaside Escape and that describes it exactly. From the booking procedure, to Melissa our contact person to the house it was fantastic. The home was clean and well stocked with essentials and the kitchen had so many supplies abd all in very good condition. The view was phenomenal and we were treated to watching the dolphins every morning. Melissa was very attentive to our needs and questions and always got back with me promptly. I wish she could be our contact person on all our vacations. She was very kind, hospitable and helpful. We were a group of 6 and we all felt the Mariott option for renting a house is the way to go. Check in & check out was very simple. We had a great time. Thanks Melissa for all you did for us to make it a memorable vacation.

Great House Great Vacation!

Our family vacation in Corolla, NC was wonderful. Peggy the property manager was super friendly and extremely helpful. The house "Cloud Lift" was in a great location and it was absolutely beautiful. It's more beautiful than the pictures. The minute we walked in the door of the house we were amazed at how updated and clean it was. We loved the view of the pool, beach, and ocean. Every morning we watched schools of dolphins right from the windows. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were overjoyed that there were a few strollers, a high chair, games, books, and some beach chairs, pool floats, and some sand toys for the kids that we were able to use. We had a beautiful family vacation and we plan to book this house in the future.

The house is wonderful. It has amazing beach access. Lovely pool and hot tub with view of the ocean. Access to the pool and beach from all levels of the house. The property manager was amazing. One night there was a storm which caused the pool to have a lot of sand blown in it. With a quick text to the manager, she had a crew out first thing the next morning to clean it. It's so close to the ocean that you can hear the waves at night. Magical! Every morning we watched pods of dauphins. from the deck as we drank our coffee. I highly recommend this property.

Overall Great Stay

Check in and early communications with property manager were very prompt and exactly as described. House is exactly as advertised and no surprises there. Sheets were packaged on the beds so you do have to put those on. We did not have any items already in the house that we did not plan to bring, such as dish soap/sponges, dishwasher detergent, laundry dry detergent and paper products like paper towels and toilet paper. There were limited rolls so we did end up going out to buy those items and leaving the extra for future guests. We did expect a gas grill and had purchased food for that, but quickly realized it was leaking and only half worked. After reaching out to the property manager they immediately brought our a brand new grill. It is charcoal so be prepared to use that style. Overall very good house for a large group and absolute ideal location. You have your own private boardwalk and the beach hardly had anyone on it so it really was awesome! Dolphins all over and wonderful shore fishing.

Aug 4-11 stay

The location of the property was the 1 thing that was excellent about our stay. My wife and I and our 2 sons and families all traveled 10-12 hours to get to Corolla. It’s always hard to arrive exactly at 4:00 PM due to traffic and you want to be able to access the property as soon as possible to start enjoying vacation. We arrived at the property about 45 minutes early and noticed no crew was there. I immediately contacted the Property Manager to see if we could access the house early. I was told definitely “No” and that the crew was still there. We sat in our vehicle until 4:00, nobody came or left the house and nobody was inside as we were told. I have rented numerous beachfront properties and have always been given early access if the cleaning crew was done. I felt the Property Manager could have been more accommodating. Once inside the home we noticed that it wasn’t as clean as I had expected with the living room/ kitchen area needing better sweeping/ vacuuming. We also found several dirty dishes in the cupboard and silverware drawer which we had to re-wash prior to use. The screen door on the master suite was torn so you really could not have the primary door open and listen to the ocean.

A lifetime of memories!

This was our first family trip in 20 years, and needless to say, it was so worth the wait. The house is FANTASTIC with the most beautiful views. The property manager was super responsive and great to work with. The year prior we stayed in Nags Head, but Corolla Beach was far less expensive fir similar ocean front homes. Sure, we killed a few spiders/ants inside the home, HOWEVER, youre literally on the beach folks, so dont let that deter you. The pool ‘guy’ showed up two or three times during our stay to check levels, etc., which was reassuring. The house wasnt equipped with pool toys, but we purchased some floats, pool noodles and squirt guns and left for the next family to enjoy. If you arrive and they are gone, pay it forward for the next family. As advertised, it does have a lot of stairs, so be mindful if traveling with elderly/handicap folks. The Juice Jar is a cute little Acai/Smoothie spot a 3 minute drive away, along with shopping and coffee - this really was the best week-long vacation.
