Sandy Retreat is a 2-bedroom 2.5 bath Townhome with a loft, right in the heart of Port A and within walking distance to the beach. The resort-style pool is heated in the winter months, complete with a slide, Palapas for shade, and a BBQ area that is a perfect place to round out a day of fun. This home brings a calming feel inside with touches of island décor in shades of blue and green carried throughout. The bottom level of this Townhome holds the dining/kitchen/living area. The full-size kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, a regular coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Enjoy your freshly prepared meals at the dining table accommodating six and additional seating for three at the breakfast bar. Relax in the living room on the couch (which converts to a Queen-size sleeper), matching armchairs, and recliner while watching movies on the wall-mounted TV. There is a half bath to serve this floor. Take your morning coffee or cold beverage out to the private back patio and grill up the day's catch for a quick and easy meal. Get a good night's rest in the bedrooms located upstairs. The first bedroom (BR1) contains a King bed with a bench at the foot, nightstands, a chest, a closet, and a wall-mounted TV. The ensuite bathroom provides a vanity and a large, tiled shower. The loft area is made up of a Full sofa sleeper and a wall-mounted TV, great for kids to stretch out and play. The second bedroom (BR2) consists of a King bed, nightstands, chair, chest, a wall-mounted TV, and a private front balcony with outdoor seating. The hallway includes a full-size stacked washer/dryer tucked in a closet and a bathroom with a tub/shower and detachable handheld showerhead. After a day at the beach or shopping, walk over to the shared pool for more fun on the slide, sitting under the Palapas, or taking in some sunshine. Sandy Retreat is an excellent place to stay for small families or with friends. You're 1 block from the sand and surf and central to all things Port Aransas, including delicious seafood, pristine golf courses, fishing piers, and music venues. Learn about the area's boating history at the museum, 4 blocks away. Then, order cold drinks and listen to live music at different venues around town.

Easy access to beach and close proximity to all downtown port A has to offer. Comfortable living and the heated pool onsite is a great addition to stay.

Very nice condo. Great pool area and close proximity to the beach.

The property was very clean and really nice! Everything we needed was provided. The kids loved the water slide at the pool area. Very fun family vacation.

This property is very clean. Kitchen well stocked with any kitchen equipment we needed. Great beds! Pool area great and nicely heated. Fun colorful beachy theme. Walking distance to beach access road or quick car ride to beach. Would stay here again for sure!!! Never contacted management as there was no need to. Two thumbs up from Minnesota!! Thanks for making our vacation in Port A great.

Spring break local getaway!

Property was easy to locate and a short drive to the sand. The heated pool was a lifesaver since the beach was overcast and windy the first days. We had a hiccup with the onsite grillBut management and the owner quickly responded and replaced it. Some people mentioned the furnishing left it feeling cramped but we enjoyed all of the available seating for guests who came by to visit. The beds were comfy and the place was spotless. I do feel like maybe a short time weeding the patio would make it a lot more inviting and nicer for photo ops. All in all it was great and management was exceptional with any issue.

Very Clean Property

This is one the best properties I have stayed in especially due to cleanliness & details to the small amenities. Good location to beach & dining options. My only recommendation is be sure to bring coffee & shower needs. No basic ingredients items for guest to cook with, need to bring everything if going to cook. Was not a fan of the all-in-one shower bath gel/hair shampoo/conditioner.

Good location and amenities - tight space

The overall trip was good, management is responsive. The pool was great, a lot of people though. The location is perfect, 5 mins away from the beach and the neighborhood is good. The condo on the other hand was tight on space, a lot of furniture and not enough space to move around; small-ish kitchen - new appliances though. The beds were not comfortable, they could use some tlc. Bathrooms clean and clean/new towels. Awesome gas grill and outdoor space, 2 hoses one on entrance and one on the patio, which were pretty useful. Overall okay experience. We’ll go back but pick another townhouse.

Great getaway

We had a great time at this property! Everything was nice and clean. It is walking distance to the beach, which is what we were looking for. We spent a lot of time at the pool. Our kids couldn’t get enough! Our only complaint would be no access to the garage. So, we ended up leaving our beach stuff out front, where it could have potentially gotten stolen. If we had wanted to keep it on the back porch, we would have to drag it through the house. But we didn’t want to get the house all dirty and sandy. Overall, a great experience!

Perfect beach getaway

We really enjoyed staying in this condo. It was very clean and well appointed with everything you needed (great internet, cooking supplies, 3 nice TVs, and propane grill on the patio). Within a 30 second walk, you are at a great heated pool that’s perfect for kids. I’d stay here again on a future trip.

The townhouse was very clean and located close to the beach! I really enjoyed our stay here and it was equipped with the basics (pots, pans, towels). The only thing I would change about our stay is communication between the rental company. I didn’t receive any information about the check-in process or any specifics about the townhouse until mid-day on the day we checked in.

Spacious & Near Beach

This place was pretty nice and spacious. It was about a 7-10 min walk to the beach. The only thing we didn't realize was how 'un-stocked' it would be. Don't expect the basics (ie. garbage bags or coffee filters) - unless you roll in just after we left - as we bought both and left them for future guests. It just seems like at this price they could set you up with some of those basic needs (as most people don't travel with those things).

Great space for big families

This place had so much to offer. 2 bedrooms with large beds and 2full bathrooms upstairs, with a flip-out sofa upstairs and down, and 4 TVs total. Plenty of linens, bath towels, blankets, and pillows. A nice upstairs and downstairs patio with grill. Large dining table. Super close to the pool and the beach and very close to Port A and shops. Check in processes was super easy. Great place to stay

So much fun!

We had a blast and will definitely be back! Condo was clean and fully equipped! The pool was heated and just around the corner. The beach is a bit further than I thought but we had a golf cart, quick 3 min drive!
