Welcoming independent stone villa with private pool situated in panoramic location on the hills around Cortona. The house interiors are nicely furnished in a typical Tuscan style.
This estate, surrounded by beautiful woods and valleys, offers extensive views over the surrounding landscape and is an ideal destination for those who appreciate the peace of the Tuscan country-side and at the same time wish to visit the beautiful art cities of the area such as the charming medieval town of Cortona and Arezzo.
Distances: the small town of Portole with food shops 6 km away, Cortona with all kinds of shops 13 km, CittĂ  di castello 40 km, Arezzo 40 km, Lake Trasimeno 30 km away.
At guests’ disposal: furnished garden, nice large private swimming-pool (7 x 14 m – min. depth 1,2 m - max. depth 2,4 m), playground for children, table-tennis, barbecue. Washing-machine and ironing facilities available.

Wassermangel und toller Pool

Eine Woche Aufenthalt Mitte August 2021. Das herausragende an dem Haus ist zweifelsohne der große und private Pool. Allerdings hatte sich im Laufe einer Woche ziemlich viel Dreck angesammelt ohne das eine Reinigung stattfand. Also haben wir selbst Hand angelegt. Das Haus fĂŒr sich ist eher klein, von der Ausstattung unterer Durchschnitt und wir wĂŒrden es nicht wieder buchen. Es gibt keine Fliegengitter und so zwangsweise einiges an Getier im Haus. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr hellhörig, heizen sich ziemlich auf und ohne Klimaanlage. Die Betten fanden wir relativ hart und unkomfortabel. Das Wlan ist nur phasen- und stellenweise gut nutzbar, oft hat man keinen Empfang. Modernes TV im WZ mit uraltem Receiver (wir sehen im Urlaub eh kein TV) ohne deutsches Programm. TV oben mieserabel. Das Angebot an Geschirr und Besteck war fĂŒr uns schlecht. Zerkratzte Pfannen kennt man ja, aber so billiges Besteck, dass man nicht richtig essen kann weil sich alles verbiegt finden wir nicht annehmbar. Bei dem Preis könnte man doch ein wenig investieren. Einfaches Metallbesteck tĂ€te es doch auch!? Draußen sitzen kann man super. Entweder am Pool, oder direkt am Haus. Da hat man sich wirklich MĂŒhe gemacht. Die Lage ist weit oben und weg von der nĂ€chsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Ca. 15km bis Cortona, auf halber Strecke gibt es eine Bar in Portole wo man ein paar Sachen wie Brot, KĂ€se, etc. kaufen kann. Das Haus ist umgeben von anderen HĂ€usern, man hat dennoch seine Ruhe, fĂŒhlt sich dadurch aber recht sicher. TagsĂŒber bekommt man Besuch von Katzen, Hunden was die mitreisenden jungen Damen als angenehm empfanden, Abends und Nachts trifft man auch unmittelbar vor der TĂŒr auch mal auf Wildschweine, glĂŒcklicherweise handelte es sich um kleinere Exemplare.

Fab stay in a tranquil end of the world

The stay was fantastic, bagnolo is relatively remote and wild, real nature. The house just fitted our needs, big, beautiful and charming. We were lucky with the weather and got to enjoy the pool almost every day. Just was what we were looking for! Close enough to Cortona, can have dinner at the agroturismo restaurant the owners run on the back of the house or drive a couple of miles down to Portole restaurant. Everything you will need for an apartment holiday was provided. No doubt will be back sometime. Thanks.

Hm...

Pool war voller Insekten und Vogeldreck, was nicht zu vermeiden ist, aber es war nichts Brauchbares zum Saubermachen da. Die Einrichtung in der KĂŒche war alt und schĂ€big. Verranzte Kaffeemaschine, kein Toaster wie beschrieben. Sauberkeit ok, aber in jede Ecke durfte man nicht schauen. Sind vorzeitig abgereist, da Skorpione im Haus waren, was aber anscheinend normal fĂŒr die Zeit ist. Sind auch nicht wirklich giftig. Wollten es aber trotzdem nicht.

Beautiful Villa!

We really enjoyed this fabulous holiday villa. The large pool was fantastic, the owners were warm and the views breathtaking. We recommend anyone considering a trip up a Tuscany mountain!

Underbart lugn, fantastisk pool!

Mysigt hus, fantastisk pool! Huset utbyggt jÀmfört med bilder pÄ nÀtet, med ett extra badrum och matplats vilket var jÀttebra. VÀnliga och tillmötesgÄende Àgare som pÄ lite knackig engelska löser allt. Hellugnt lÀge, 25 min till affÀr och butiker i Cortona. Rekommenderas verkligen.

Lovely place to stay

This is a great place, spotlessly clean and reasonably well equipped. The owners are friendly and the views are stunning except for an ugly bard built in front of the property that ruins it a bit. It is lower down the hill though so you can see over it. There was only two of us so we had enough space though I would imagine it would be crowded with the maximum number of 7. There are only 2 comfortable chairs downstairs so we used the settee and chairs in the upstairs mezzanine as our living area in the evening. The owners run a small restaurant at the side of their house which serves simple, fantastic food. It's only open Monday to Friday so if you arrive on a Saturday I'd suggest stopping off in a town on the way there for supplies. The pool was clean and large and there are several living areas in the garden for you to follow the sun during the day.

Relaxing get away from it all villa

We had a lovely relaxing time at the villa, beautiful sunsets over the hills every evening. The pool is perfectly set and huge! We went mid August to beginning of September and although pool water was cool, once in it was fine and we all enjoyed it very much. Our biggest problem was with the wifi/internet. More often than not we had no connection as the property is quite remote, 12km from Cortona up winding roads. With elderly parents to contact in the UK and having a teenager with us this was an issue for us and provided a certain amount of stress. But if you want to get a way from it all this would be the perfect property to go to as it is so peaceful. Also be aware that this probably isn't the property for very small children or the infirm as it is on an incline and you would need to watch where you step and the mezzanine level has sloping ceilings. This rustic property was very clean and exactly as described. The owners provided a good level of care but didn't get in the way. We visited Perugia, Cortona and Florence and enjoyed all very much. It is a lovely part of the world but on the whole you do have to do the 12km journey to Cortona every time you go out as most places are in that direction. I would most certainly recommend it to other people. It is the perfect place to get away from everything and relax in the sun.
