About the home

“On Chapel” is a delightful single-storey home in the very heart of lively Cowes, easily walkable to both the beach and to the town centre, with its supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants on your doorstep. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The home features an open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living area (with smart TV & DVD player) providing access to the rear Deck, Bedroom 1 with a TV, DVD player and WIR, plus an ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedrooms 2 & 3 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with spa bath and separate shower), a Laundry (with washing machine) and a separate Toilet. There is also internal access to the Garage.

Outdoor Areas

The fully enclosed rear courtyard (with gas BBQ and seating for 8) is accessed from the Dining room. There is parking for 2 cars in the double Garage, and space for another car in the driveway.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, a nescafe dolce gusto pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, blender, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, an electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home has wall mounted reverse cycle split system units in the living area as well as in all bedrooms.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: Two sets of Single bunks

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.

Air con needs a service

There was water dripping down walls from the main air conditioner, into the back of the TV in main lounge. It didn't work at all .

Loved ping pong table in garage which came in handy as it rained most days. Wouod be great to have updated smart TVs as our phones (new iphone & Samsung) couldnt cast. Bluetooth was an option but thos also didnt connect. And instructions left were minimal with no help

In the heart of Cowes

Amazing central location in Cowes. A few minutes walk to the beach or shop/restaurants. A little noisy at night, being next door to holiday apartments, but it didn't interrupt sleep. The house itself is really great. Fully equipped kitchen, huge dining tables in and outside, nice hot shower and comfortable beds. The bunk bed undersheets and some pillows were stained and could do with a good wash. The house needed a good airing, it was very stuffy, which never really cleared over the two days we stayed with all windows open. The free wifi was a useful inclusion. Kids, parents and grandparents had a lovely stay. Thank you!

The layout of the unit is excellent but the cleaners did not do there job properly. Position of the unit perfect to walk to the town centre.

Great location

The location of this house is perfect, the layout is family friendly with our littlest member able to crawl around the house safely . The outside is not child friendly but fine for older kids . The house could do with a really good clean , especially bathrooms. The house smelt like it had water damage so we had to keep all windows open, however It wouldn’t take much to bring the house up to standard . The blinds cords need to attached to the wall as this is so dangerous. We would stay here again if we knew these things had been fixed.

Phillip Island

Lovely house. Unfortunately very hard for elderly relative to enter as steps with no handrail at both entrances. Mostly clean, a few things showed a young child had previously stayed there but otherwise good. All appliances worked well, kitchen well stocked with everything needed to cook, it even had basics like salt & pepper (a lot of places don't have them). An excellent home for a family, but not so much for older people.
