Silvanas Retreat
With linen and towels provided, this property truly has everything you need for a comfortable and effortless stay. The lounge has loads of comfortable sofas and chairs, a flat-screen TV, and there is a large dining table and a new modern kitchen. The kitchen has electric cooking appliances, a dishwasher, a microwave and ample crockery and cutlery for the large family.
There is a large wood heater in the open living area, as well as a split system for heating and cooling. There are 2 bathrooms at the property, one off the laundry containing a shower & vanity with a separate toilet in the hallway, and another bathroom with separate toilet accessed from outside only.
The 4 bedrooms (with 1 King and 6 Queens) comfortably sleep up to 14 guests, perfect for extended family or large friend groups.
The property includes a grassy area out the back and a huge carport. There is a gas BBQ and outdoor setting undercover. The spacious rear garden backs onto a reserve. Please note the property is not fully fenced. The long driveway provides parking for up to 3 vehicles.

This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. This property is located in a residential area and guests are asked to refrain from excessive noise.
A security deposit of AUD900 is required for all confirmed reservations. This will be processed via an online link 7 days prior to arrival and will be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out, subject to an inspection of the property.

The house wasn't the cleanest upon arrival. Sticky floor, dirty cutlery in the drawer, dusty doona covers, dusty shelves, absolutely filthy BBQ which we had to scrub clean to use are some of the items that stood out. The property has no WiFi and no phone reception. The gas bottle was empty and we had to spend $40 on a refill, thankfully the agent will reimburse that.
The owner (who is also the cleaner apparently) wants to be compensated for a small washable mark on the doona cover. Very unreasonable and disappointing. The agent is holding my bond and is apparently "investigating" the doona cover issue. I will never stay at this property and would never recommend it to anyone.
Obrien Real Estate in Cowes are the agent, they are very slow at resolving conflict and using common sense to determine an outcome.
Some extra attention to detail of the property condition would help rate the property for the amount it costs to stay there. It worked well for our large family staying there, nice short walk to beach.
House was very nice, clean and best location for holiday. Everything was very good but there was no hot water supply at all for whole 3 days. It was bit hard for the kids to adjust for shower time. I hope owner/ realestate check or advice guest before checkin. It was a long weekend so we didnât bother to inform or call anyone. Except that we enjoyed the house 100%.
