Welcome to South Side, a charming and characterful holiday cottage perfectly positioned in the heart of West Runton, one of North Norfolk's most loved coastal villages. Set along a peaceful lane that leads directly to the beach, this inviting two‑bedroom retreat offers the ideal blend of comfort, convenience, and coastal charm. Whether you're planning long walks along the Norfolk Coast Path, days spent exploring rock pools, or simply a quiet escape by the sea, South Side provides a wonderfully relaxing base for your holiday. With its enclosed garden, cosy interiors, and unbeatable location just moments from local shops, cafĂ©s, and the friendly Village Inn pub, this cottage is a favourite for couples and small groups looking to enjoy the very best of the North Norfolk coastline. South Side welcomes one small, well‑behaved dog, making it a great choice for guests who love to bring their four‑legged companion along. With coastal paths, woodland trails, and dog‑friendly beaches nearby, it's a wonderful place for dogs to enjoy too.
Ground floor: Front door leading into hallway with staircase and door to Kitchen: with table and 4 chairs, electric cooker and hob, washing machine, microwave, toaster and fridge/freezer, door to Lounge: TV , wood burner and patio doors leading to the garden.
First floor: 2 double bedrooms. Family bathroom: walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.
Please note: WiFi. 1 well-behaved small dog considered at ÂŁ30.00 per week (please ask before booking). Allocated parking for 1 car. Children permitted over the age of 16 years only. Lovely Cottage

Southside is a lovely cottage, better equipped than you will need, really clean and tidy and very comfortable. It is well situated for travel all around North Norfolk and beyond, buses run regularly from nearby and there is a station in the village too. The view of the sea greeted me every morning and it was only a short walk away. We had a great time. Thank you.

Perfect holiday home

Really lovely comfortable home to stay in - & even lovelier (wow!) garden. Just a short stroll to the beach. What more do you want?! Oh - no internet - but probably does us a favour to get away from our busy lives & have real time out. :)

A beautiful cottage

A peaceful time at Christmas

Very well presented with a lovely welcome pack on arrival and a Christmas tree! Very much appreciated. The garden had some colour too, welcome at this time of year Very cosy and the wood burner worked fine. Kitchen was ok except we couldn't find the grill handle or any large serving spoons.

The house was clean, had everything you could possibly want for a break, and was close to all amenities, pub, restaurant, local social club, and village store and to boot good dog walking on the coastal path only 5 minutes away. The garden was fully enclosed and dog friendly and very pretty and well kept. We will be back

Bit dated!!

This is a lovely cottage, great position, about a 10 min walk to the beautiful West Runton beach. It was very clean when we arrived and a lovely welcome pack left! It is very roomy (very deceptive from the outside) but very dated inside - kitchen was very bitty and hard to work in - if it had a new kitchen with dishwasher it would be great! In my opinion it needs some work doing to it!Lovely bathroom though! Very pretty secure garden and can just see the sea in the distance from the back bedroom! Installing Wifi would be goo too!!

Enjoyed our stay at Southside cottage and after our long journey getting there it was a blessing to see that we had a lovely welcome pack which we were very grateful for . Thank you. It was spotlessly clean and we had all we needed for our stay ...like home from home ....and must admit to feeling very envious of the beautiful garden ....If you require a paper just pop up to the store / post office and they will put it by for you ...can't say anything about the pub opposite as we didn't go as we enjoyed our beverage's indoors ..Did though try the carvery just aroun d the corner aways and have to be honest was disappointed ....

Homely Cottage

A very well maintained property. A lot of thought has gone into provisions. Lovely and close to the beach. Sadly though we had a week of awful weather! Not Norfolk's fault. But i would highly recommend this cottage.

Home from home

I had a lovely weeks stay at south side cottage with my family, the cottage was stunning inside and out. I enjoyed sitting outside the beautiful cottage, the cottage has everything you need and feels really homely. Used the bus route and had some nice days out in Cromer, Sheringham and Norwich. Comfy beds. Only issue was sorting the rubbish as come on holiday to de stress, wasn’t nice emptying bags into the compost bins which were full of insects yuk! And sorting recycling rubbish into bags. Also I think the bath is a struggle for older generation as mum and dad struggled to get in and out. Could do with WiFi too. Had a relaxing holiday with beautiful weather. Will definitely be coming back. Had a welcome pack which included milk tea bags coffee butter bread scones biscuits eggs also bubble bath and shower gel and few other things which was kind and really appreciated.

Lovely cottage on a lane leading down to beach

Very well appointed, with generous welcoming pack. Great location for walks along the coast. Wi-fi would be helpful at some point, given 4G signal is poor - made life a little stressful given unexpected work issue.
