Exclusive country house in the Baix EmpordĂ
Mas DĂ lia is an old stone Catalan farmhouse dating from the 14th Century, which has been carefully restored and refurbished, retaining the traditional structure of the house while enriching it with all the contemporary features and elements of modern day comfort. There are 6 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom, different common areas and many special corners to discover during your stay.
The property has a fenced garden of 4000 m2, a small wood, a salt-water pool and an open-air porch. In the nearby area there are walking itineraries and some of the best cycling routes (road and mountain bikes) in this region. Monells is very well located, making it easy to get to the beach, or visit medieval villages and other cultural and historical sites, including picturesque Girona city with its old walled centre and its fine restaurants.
Pets are welcome.

Layout
You get to the house along a quiet unpaved road which takes you to a metal gate. The property has a large garden which is fenced and safe. As you go in, you will see the pool area which also has a fence around it, a shady parking area for 7 cars and a large shed to keep bicycles and other sports equipment.
The house has an open-air porch at the front and the rooms are arranged over two floors.
GROUND FLOOR
Going through the front door, you find a welcoming interior courtyard, partially covered, which leads to all the other rooms in the house. On the left hand side, there is a door leading to the living area which retains original features such as the vaulted ceilings and the rustic-style stone walls.
Here there are two sitting rooms with sofas, coffee tables, a chimney and other furniture, all beautifully furnished and decorated elegantly with warm tones and modern furniture.
The dining room has a long wooden table and chairs and a door which leads to the delightful porch outside which has another long table with chairs and outdoor sofas where guests can eat or relax and enjoy the good weather. The kitchen, spacious and semi-professional, is equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils you will need. It has a door leading to the garden outside where there is a barbecue next to the house.
On the right hand side of the house, there are two bedrooms downstairs: a family room with two separate spaces - one with a double bed and a full bathroom with walk-in shower adapted for people with reduced mobility, and the other one with two single beds. Next to it is another bedroom with two single beds, TV and full bathroom with walk-in shower. Close to the entrance to the house is a guest toilet and sink.
From the inner courtyard you go up some stairs to the first floor of the house.
FIRST FLOOR
The other four bedrooms are situated on this floor, each one beautifully decorated to retain the essential character of the house. There is a large bedroom with a double bed, full bathroom with walk-in shower, TV and private terrace (14 m2) with outdoor furniture, sunshade and views. Down the corridor are three more bedrooms, each with two single beds and a full bathroom with bath. Two of them have a TV.
At the end of the corridor, guests have a quiet reading room with sofas and tables, and there is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board and iron.
The whole house has wifi, heating, air-conditioning, electrically-operated blinds, lamps and magnificent views of the garden.
OUTSIDE
The house is surrounded by a fantastic garden which is completely fenced in and offers plenty of privacy, a haven of peace and tranquility, including a small wood where you can do relaxing activities. During the hot summer months, guests can cool off in the outdoor pool where there are sun loungers and a porch with outdoor furniture (sofa and table and chairs) and a toilet.

Kitchen, semi-professional, equipped with 2 large capacity fridges,(one with a freezer), oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler, Krups coffee machine, toasters, tableware and cutlery, kitchen utensils.
