Casa Maya is a brand-new home, only a few months old, and the first time itâs available as a vacation and retreat rental. Embedded in nature, the villa offers everything you need for an excellent vacation. This home is perfect for large family gatherings and small high-end Retreat's. Every detail is adapted for functionality, and nothing distracts from the surrounding nature and spectacular ocean-and jungle views.
Location
You are going to experience complete privacy. Set in the hills and bordered by the Costa Rican jungle, the private driveway and security gate bring you into this beautiful property. Casa Maya is located 125 meters above sea level in one of the most beautiful areas of Guanacaste, and right in the middle in one of the five Blue Zones on this planet. The quiet and unspoiled beaches of San Juanillo (rated from Conde Nast traveler as 10 most beautiful beaches worldwide) is only a 15-minute drive. Casa Maya's charm is its more remote location from other tourist destinations, which provides a peaceful and serene escape from the business and hurry of our modern lives.
The Liberia International Airport is 1.5 hours away and the famous town of Nosara is 30 minutes away. Nosara is a well-known surfing, yoga, and healing/wellness destination. There you will find many fabulous restaurants and bars, and a buzzing nightlife to discover. Four of the most beautiful beaches: Playa San Juanillo, Playa Ostional, Playa Marbella and Playa Azul can be reached in 15 to 30 minutes. Playa Ostional is only 10 minutes from the property, and it is a world-famous nesting site for the Olive Ridley sea turtles where you may be lucky enough to experience the natural phenomenon of an âarribadaâ from August to December, when a mass nesting of thousands of turtles can occur. Nesting can occur throughout the year, but typically only a few turtles a night might be seen during the dry season from February to May.

Casa Maya has integrated indoor and outdoor living spaces, perfect for big families or groups of friends.
Sitting on nearly 80 acres / 32-hectare land, the amazing villa comes with 6,000 sq. ft. of exquisite luxurious living space, this seven-bedroom villa offers much more than breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The home boasts privacy and spreads out on three levels and with 2 huge pools. On the first-level there are three fully equipped Master bedrooms. All three big sized bedrooms have a king-size bed, closet, en-suite bathroom and separate toilet.
The second level is a 1200 sqf /120 qm terrace with BBQ grill and large bar, perfect for family gatherings, weddings, parties or yoga retreats. This amazing terrace with ocean- and jungle views has endless opportunities to be decorated or changed into anything the renters want.
The third level leads you to four more bedrooms. There are two spacious en-suite master bedrooms with king size beds, each with ocean views and private bathrooms. Each of the master bedrooms has an attached smaller bedroom, which come with a twin bed and one queen size, (bathrooms are shared with the big master bedroom). Families travelling with kids will be delight as the attached smaller bedrooms in direct reach of the parentâs master bedrooms.
The two master bedrooms on this level are equipped with luxurious oversized showers with rain style showerheads, and breathtaking views of the ocean or jungle. Large terraces in front of the bedrooms and an large pool for the bottom space.
Living space
The Villa is designed with modern features and carefully decorated to offer comfort and coziness. The whole house is equipped with central air conditioning, a rare feature in Costa Rica, and the home comes with stable high-speed Wi-Fi access and a generator. The floor plan is open and airy, with walls of sliding glass that allow the perfect blend of indoor/outdoor entertainment and living. Enjoy your breakfast on the terrace in the company of breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and jungle, or sit in the pool and observe monkeys and birds in the trees above. The Villa is ready for spectacular moments you will never forget.
Casa Maya comes fully equipped with a kitchen, laundry room, housekeeping (on request-separate payment), and multiple balconies with comfortable outdoor furniture to watch for wildlife and soak in the beauty fauna, which surrounds the home. The living and dining areas are integrated into the spacious kitchen, with an island and top-quality appliances, including a refrigerator with water filter, ice, gas-stove, electric oven, coffee maker and dishwasher, etc. The home is also equipped with a whole-house water filter. As well a professional ice machine When mealtimes come around, the kitchen has everything youâll need to whip up tasty meals, and an outdoor gas grill awaits by the pool for more casual cookouts in the salty air.
The common area opens to a large covered patio that features a dining area integrating both common spaces. We have a full-size outdoor dining table, which is equipped with eight formal chairs, as well as formal indoor dining, which can easily host other eight people as well. In front of this space, you will find the new outdoor infinity pool surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens with views of the ocean. An outdoor shower is available for your comfort. Not to mention, there will be no better way to end each day than a soak in the hot top jacuzzi!
Several spacious patios offer various spots to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty, making every moment spent outdoors special. Enjoy your breakfast on the terrace in the company of breathtaking panoramic views of the jungle and Pacific Ocean or watch the incredible sunsets from the privacy of your own bedroom balconies as you immerse yourselves in Guanacaste culture and nature.
Booking / Services
There is a 5-day minimum booking, and we offer special prices for monthly stays. The seven-bedroom Villa can sleep a maximum of fourteen people. An inflatable king-size bed creates sleeping space for two additional people (than total capacity 16 people). We do not provide rentals for weekends only. We highly recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle during your stay.
This villa is most perfect for larger family gatherings, weddings, company retreats or small exclusive yoga- or coaching retreats. Several other great Villas near-by can be rented through the same rental manager and guarantee accommodation for any size of group.
The large terrace can be used as a yoga Shala and offers enough space for 16-20 people - all with a great view of the Pacific Ocean and the jungle.
Our knowledgeable and attentive property manager is only 10 minutes away, and is easily accessible through WhatsApp to help with any questions, reservations, and helpful hints to ensure the most enjoyable time at Casa Maya. The service here is comparable to a high-end concierge service at a five-star hotel. If you prefer, a private chef, musician or DJ it can be arranged for your enjoyment. You will receive detailed directions to the Villa, and/or a shuttle booking from the nearest international airport in Liberia. You will also receive a list of the supermarkets, bars, restaurants, and activities nearby. You can also start your vacation with a fully stocked fridge if you choose to send a list of groceries (additional payed service).
We help you to make reservations for restaurants, activities, or tours that you might like to book, and will have a lot of helpful tips and recommendations to make your stay unforgettable. The cost of extra services and activities are not included in the base nightly rate and must be paid in full prior to their receipt.
