It’s old and out of the way. Being here would be inconvenient if you were visiting Cusco for a few days. We were just there for the night in transit back to Lima so it was fine. The hot water wasn’t working in the morning. We missed our wake up call as well.... I would say it is just ok. For the price it is decent. But you’d be better to spend a little more to be closer to the square so you can walk and do things easily. Part of the problem was that we stayed at the Plaza del Inca at the beginning of our stay and there is simply no comparison.

Rooms were new and well laid out , staff very friendly , good location , safe. Water was purified and drinkable. No gymnasium and room safe very modern but strangely not anchored to the wall

The view that the hotel has very good, the staff super attentive.The heating of the room did not work well, they tried to replace it with an electric heater but it was the same we almost froze in the three nights we were in the hotel, thank God they gave us blankets. I do not recommend people to tend to very cold.

We were very happy with the Whyndam. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very accommodating on many different angles. 1). I found myself having trouble with altitude and this hotel has oxygen available, just ask. 2). We were traveling to several parts of Peru and were going to return to this hotel after going to Macchu Picchu, they held some of our luggage so that we would not have to take it everywhere. 3). It is located on the hill above Cusco a little out of the way from the central square but it is very easy to walk down some stairs and get a taxi. Overall, we were very happy on our 25th anniversary trip

Great hotel with wonderful view.

Pros: The view, staff and area.
Beautiful hotel with awesome view. The Staff is very friendly and will go above and beyond to help you. It is a few minutes away from the city and is in a very quiet area. When you want to leave and explore, you can call the front desk and they will call you a taxi. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit.

Beautiful view

Pros: The rooms and service. Based on reviews, I excepted hotel staff to be horrible. Instead, I found they were more than helpful and even accommodating.
Cons: Internet in rooms is bad - there is a business center though.
Location: It isn't far from the Plaza de Armas - only about a seven sole taxi. But you do have to take a taxi if you want to go anywhere.
US standards for hotel rooms. Very comfortable and nice rooms. Only downside all of Cusco has horrible internet and this hotel is no exception. Great Experience

Pros: The view from the hotel is amazing
Location: It's a little off the beaten path but worth the effort.

Great location and pleasant staff

Pros: The hotel staff was super pleasant and accommodating. The location was good and rooms very clean. Great breakfast buffet!
Cons: Check hot water!
Location: Situated within a short walking distance from museums, restaurants, and centre of town. We were able to walk to all our points of interest.
We stayed at hotel prior to going to our Machu Picchu adventure. We returned to same hotel upon our return from there as well. Our first night, we didn't have any hot water but the second time we were upgraded to a suite.

Do Not Stay - Subpar Conditions

Pros: The breakfast buffet was open early enough for even people taking the first Inca Rail train out.
Cons: Customer service, hospitality, cleanliness
Location: Very poor location and no provided transportation to either the airport or the city center.
I am not one to write a review, but this hotel was a disappointment on so many levels, I would not want anyone else to make the same mistake as we did, waste their money, and have their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Machu Picchu be marred by their experience here. We had originally booked our stay at a place in the city center of Cuzco but opted to change our reservation because we trusted the Wyndham brand and it also came at a lower price. Do not foresake convenience, cleanliness, and a basic level of hospitality for the small price difference - we severely regretted it! The hotel manager was rude and dismissive when we asked for help with arranging transportation. It seemed like he just wanted to check in as many guests as possible, provide the bare minimum of service, and collect your money. You could tell by the state of the rooms. They lacked basic amenities that are customary in American hotel chains (alarm clocks, hair dryers, towel mats, and bottled water if the local water is not drinkable) and the rooms were not clean. Our lotion bottles were already opened and used with lotion on the bottle and hair was left in and around the bathroom from previous guests. The local Peruvian staff were helpful when not around their manager but the Indian manager seemed to only care about processing the big tour buses of Indian tourists - cash in on their business and not build a experience focused around the guest - truly a shame and a stain on the Wyndham name! DO NOT STAY HERE!
