Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by several staff members. Everyone was friendly. Quick check in. Lobby and amenities are great. Nice bar and pool area. We did have a few issues. The rooms and hallways are in need of a remodel. We’ve stayed at several Hilton hotels and this one is by far the worst. We’ve never had a negative thing to say until staying at this location. The carpet in the hallways was heavily stained. The hallways smelled of poo and cigarette smoke. The trash cans by the elevators were overflowing and chicken strips were scattered across the floor. Guests were leaving food out by the doors to their rooms. It would sit there for several hours. The rooms and hallways are in need of a remodel. Several areas where paint was peeling. The trash cans in the rooms weren’t emptied prior to our stay. This is a pet friendly hotel so be prepared for a wet dog smell in certain areas. On our second night we were out at the hot tub with some friends for a few hours having drinks from the hotel’s bar. One of the employees came out and said “you do know that this area closes at 10 right ?” We knew but had lost track of time. We hadn’t seen these friends in Several years. The employee told us that we needed to leave. He was obviously having a rough day. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked better than any other hotel we’ve stayed in.

What a beautiful hotel. The lobby is incredible, with so many areas to hang out. The view to the lake is amazing. Great location, walking distance to many restaurants etc.
