A mini fridge and microwave have just been added. It's also a 5 minutes walk from an incredible seafood restaurant and an awesome wine bar.

Darien 2025

Perfect little spot for a stopover for a night or two if you have a long drive up or down 95. My wife and I stayed there with our puppy. 2 miles to 95 and everything was walkable. Friendly neighborhood and very close to the water. Bungalow was very clean and had what you needed for a short stay. A great alternative to getting a hotel.

Our favorite place to stay in Darien

We love Darien and this Guest House is our favorite place to stay. The house is perfect location for walking to restaurants and the WaterFront area. The house is very clean and has everything for morning coffee.

Quiet, welcome break from the summer heat

Loved visiting Darien and visiting family. This cottage was just right: close to the action and a good restaurant, but private. We walked to dinner and to the local open air arts market. You'll want to find the stairs to the colonial era tabby ruins - that opens up the harbor, up close and personal. Plus, you won't need to go to Brunswick for coffee or wine - there are at least 3 places plus a shop with beans, honey, and local produce that you can get to by perambulation. Highly recommend this cottage. It's a quiet welcome break from the summer heat in-between adventures and a retreat all by itself.

Loved the friendly neighborhood and homes. Enjoyed kayaking, boating, and restaurants and scenic area. Screening the porch and adding a place to hang clothing would be a nice addition . Hope to stay again on the way south!

This cottage was better equipped than most hotel rooms and had WAY more charm. The neighborhood had great atmosphere with huge live oaks draped with Spanish moss. The location was so convenient. The host was very attentive to anything we might have needed, but most needs were anticipated. We had a great time!

Guest House

Cute little guest house with everything as described. Very clean and well stocked. Great communication with John the host. We stayed just 1 night with our fox terrier and loved that we able to walk around the neighborhood and to a few great dog friendly restaurants, Skippers Fish Camp for dinner and The Shanty Cafe for breakfast. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this guest cottage. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, shops and some historical sites/markers. The cottage is very clean and exactly as described in this listing. There is sufficient room in the main, one room and bathroom. We look forward to returning to this guest cottage when we visit Darien again.

It was a lovely cottage. Well kept and very clean. Supplied well. We thoroughly enjoyed it . It’s perfect for a couples retreat. It has a twin bed for an extra guest. We highly recommend and would stay again.

Owners very hospitable, helpful, and decent. Room was quiet, clean, organized, and close to everything we needed. Outside was beautiful. Was so helpful having a place to stay that accepted our dog too. Highly recommend.
