We loved our stay here! It was our first time visiting the island so we were unsure what to expect and logistically how things worked. Ken went above and beyond to help us with transportation of heavier items prior and arranging someone to pick us up with our luggage from the ferry and get us to the house. We got the same service at departure as well which was VERY helpful with all our stuff, golf clubs, and a 90lb dog. Our dog Goose loved the yard and we all enjoyed the house and sitting on the front screened in porch during afternoon thunderstorms. The bed was comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Ken was a great host excellent communicator before and during the trip. The WiFi went out one day and he promptly got on the phone and the company had it fixed by the afternoon. Can’t recommend staying here enough! Great experience, we can’t wait to come back!

Perfect family holiday

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home for Thanksgiving weekend. The space was great, location was perfect and the atmosphere was amazing! Kenneth was a splendid host. We look forward to coming back and feeling that comfort and relaxation again soon.

Great House

The house was perfect for our family of six, and was very well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the big screened porch! We roasted marshmallows around the backyard fire pit each night and played card games. We all had a great time and enjoyed a relaxing weekend on beautiful Daufuskie! The owner, Kenneth, was very friendly, helpful and full of great information!

Melrose Daufuskie Stay

My fiance & I enjoyed our stay at the property. From the start, Kenneth was very responsive & accommodating. He was happy to answer any questions I had about getting to the island, recs on food/things to do, etc. When we got to the island, Kenneth & Austin were waiting for us at County Dock w the golf cart & a truck to assist w getting everything to the house (round trip free of charge - other services on the island charge $25-30+ a head for land transportation). The home is very well appointed with everything (& then some) that one could think of or need. The property is located in Melrose, which is a quick cart ride to everything the island has to offer. The free cart was very much appreciated (great value here again - we stayed for 3 nights, so saved use $250-300 plus). The large screened in porch was great, as was the location within Melrose - it's the only house at the end of a cul de sac on a large lot - the property has the right mix of seclusion/privacy without being too far away from everything. Kenneth provided us with his personal cell # in case of any issues w the cart, house, etc (there weren't any but had any issues arisen, I know Kenneth would have handled them appropriately/promptly). You can tell Kenneth & Austin take pride in providing a great experience. I've stayed on Daufuskie dozens of times over the past 10 or so yrs - this is easily one of the best properties I have stayed at & would rec w/o hesitation. Our dogs loved it too!

The Perfect Daufuskie Rental

I have stayed in several homes on Daufuskie and this was BY FAR my best experience! Kenneth went above and beyond to make sure my family (first time visitors) knew exactly how to get the most out of their vacation. Great location and tremendous value as the house felt quite spacious, even with a group of ten. We will absolutely be back. Thank you!
