The location was perfect for us. Near family, retail and parks. Traveling for Christmas can be a challenge, but to our surprise there was a decorated xmas tree, cookies and sweet morning bread. We really appreciated the extra touches that made us comfortable and feel at home.We would love to come back!

Visited from California for weekend to attend wedding. Amazing place to stay, super clean, comfortable beds, and the game room is clutch. We are planning to return here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Windmill House! It was super cute and on a great property. Our dogs enjoyed the opportunity to explore. Kitchen was well equipped and there was an abundance of nice towels. Game room was fun. We have family in the area and we were happy to be convenient to everyone and everything we enjoy in the area.

Great rental and location

We came to Dayton for a family event, and needed a place with a backyard for our dogs. We were here for three nights. The area is beautiful and off the beaten path so plenty quiet at night. The unit is well-stocked with everything you’d need. I was especially happy with the coffee selections! The towels are extra thick, the beds are comfortable and the shower is very comfortable. We highly recommend this rental for families with or without dogs!

Charming quiet cottage

We had a great stay! This home was able to accommodate our family which included a 6 month old baby and a Labrador retriever. They had everything there for the baby and a place for the dog to run. The house was very nice clean, quiet and close to many restaurants and shopping. Patrick the owner was available too, if any issue came up.

Comfortable home away from home

We loved this home! The well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds truly made this feel like a home away from home. We appreciated the sofa and love seat in the family room so we could ALL comfortably lounge to watch movies at night. The game room (and dart board!) was a huge hit. This clean and quiet location is near grocery stores and restaurants and it's easy to jump on to the freeway to get around the Dayton area. Hosts were great and we appreciated the muffins and hot chocolate!

Get away for OT/Physical Therapy intensive

It was perfect. Quiet and nice. I could have brought my dog, but I was boarding myself because she loves me a bit too much at times and still jumps…It was a nice time with my daughter and my son even visited one night. It is a perfect location and atmosphere for Intuitive body. Please call Drucilla Pape as she has out of the area clients may want to stay.

We came to the area to celebrate with family for a late Christmas. The home was so beautiful and clean. It really felt like you were at home and not a rental. There were so many nice touches in the home that really made you feel special; Christmas decorations, snacks, water, champagne for New Years, coffee, etc. They really thought of everything. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We look forward to staying again!

Couldn’t have found a better place

Patrick’s place was our home away from home. Normally when you get to a place, you need three days to get situated but from the moment we walked in, he had little touches like water in the fridge, snacks, extra blankets, high chairs for kids. If I needed anything, he answered his phone in a matter of seconds and it was delivered just as fast. The house is super clean and cozy too. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Stay!

Our stay at Windmill House was wonderful! The house was spotless and perfect for our family visit. Kitchen so well stocked w/ extras - we appreciated the spices for cooking a meal. Quiet, safe space with plenty of room to enjoy. We had fun walking the property and seeing all the history. so amazing. The patio a perfect spot to relax and visit w/o disturbing others. Beds so comfy. The place is exactly as pictured, no surprises, and in a great location. It is easy to forget you are in the City, as it is so peaceful and quiet. We look forward to another stay!

Easter 2024

Second trip from CA to visit homeland of OH with my son and daughter. We love the location for visiting family in Kettering, Centerville, Mason, Cincinnati, and Beavercreek. We fished in the pond, catching large mouth bass and blue gills by the dozen (then release). I have nothing but great things to say about the Host & his family. Not a breath short of perfect

This trip was set out to be amazing and that it was. Well and beyond. The host here is epic. The place was perfect. The fixtures are everything you see I the pic. The view of the property is very well kept and wish I could move in the place. I mean you couldn’t have asked for better. Family Weekend

This was a great hideaway for a visit with our UD student. Instead of paying for two rooms at a hotel, we were able to enjoy a house for the weekend and took advantage of the patio seating, well-equipped kitchen for a homemade meal, and fishing. What a find! (Note that there is no dishwasher. Not a big deal, but if you’re spoiled like me, you may want to take some paper products. 🙂)

Relaxation and fun

Our family enjoyed the stay, it gave us some time to relax, but we also had a lot of fun in the game room. The kids really liked the table tennis. This VRBO was in a quiet neighborhood, not too far from the USAF museum, which was one of the reasons we came to the Dayton area. The owner was friendly and greeted us upon arrival, also there were some snacks and some bottles of water and a bottle of wine which he provided. Oh, also forgot to mention, we were able to bring our small dog with us, and the neighborhood was good for walking the dog, with one exception, my wife said on one dog walk up the street there was a larger dog which was loose and chased her. This was on Wanlow Ln, don't know whose dog it was but just an FYI. A very nice stay, thanks to our host!
