The hotel was clean, comfortable. The bar, its staff, and food, were excellent.
However, the morning of my scheduled checkout, I phoned the front desk to let them know I wished to stay an extra night. They requested I come down to the front desk and check back in by 11. I mistakenly missed this check in/out deadline by 15 minutes. At around 11:15, I was rudely awakened by security and yelled at that I need to vacate immediately. I feel this was an extreme and unnecessary measure. I was treated with no grace as a guest at this establishment. I was ordered to hastily pack my things and treated as a criminal trespasser. I have never felt more disrespected by a business that I paid to provide me a service, and especially not one such as Hilton that I had previously held in high regard. I was given no opportunity to extend my reservation, as I had requested. Only told that I must leave immediately because I did not have a current reservation. The security personnel acted as if I was attempting to squat in the hotel and must be thrown out immediately. He treated me as a criminal trespasser and was extremely unprofessional, rude, and unnecessarily aggressive to someone who had simply overslept their checkout time. I was threatened with physical violence if I did not immediately adhere to their demands.
After this experience with an incredibly unprofessional security member, I will no longer be staying at or recommending Hilton hotels.
