Excellent hotel to stay by the airport. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly and location felt safe. Breakfast was good. Restaurants and Starbucks right in the same parking lot. Our 2nd time staying and won’t be our last.

Ok, but would benefit from a soft closing door

Hotel reception was ok but guys were on their phone a lot and being not very "greetish" but that part is fine, not expecting the white lotus. Shower in the room was dirty and had some hairs on the shower wall. I rinsed it off but that ain't a great look. I was in room 101 which is right beside the emergency side door. People kept coming in and out all night (for smoking probably) and each time the door closes it BANGs. This should be fixed with a soft closing door. I barely slept because every 30-45 min it would slam.

The hotel was east to find, clean and quiet. There are restaurants close by. However, the night counter person was terrible. No smile or greeting! Did not do anything to make us feel welcome. Only asked if we needed a shuttle to the airport and told us what our room number was, that was it. No thank you for staying with us or anything!

I have no idea how this property was rated 8.8. Disappointing. The shuttle drivers were curt. The front desk attendant was overly casual, his customer service was poor, he was talking to someone in the backroom casually while he checked me in, he didn't give me clear payment instructions for food I was purchasing. It was overall a very unprofessional feeling that will make this my first and last stay at a Wingate. The facility wasn't well cleaned and the sheets were wrinkly and worn. I thought I might get a little more by paying a little more and I was sadly mistaken.
