Hotel is very clean, room spacious, bed very comfortable and bathroom lovely. But, if you like your shower hot, turn the water on a few minutes before you get in. Location very convenient if your are traveling on highway 80, but, no restaurants within walking distance!

No dining options in walking distance, but easy access to bars and restaurants by vehicle. There were many families staying who were attending AAU Kids State Wrestling yet it was quiet enough for us to sleep late. Also right next to interstate, yet quiet.

Property was great for a long weekend girls trip! Pool was nice, breakfast was great, all staff was super nice and very helpful. Needed to extend our stay for an extra night and did so easily! Will stay here again for our next trip to Des Moines

The Hampton Inn West Des Moines is a standard hotel in our rotation when we are in town for much of the fall. It's a great location, has a good breakfast assortment, and is no drama getting in and out of.
