Chateau La Mer lives up to it's name–it is truly "by the sea," just across from a private section of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Stroll Destin's famous glittering white sands and glide under the clear turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico, only steps away from this spacious, pet-friendly, two-bedroom/two-bath, upstairs condo overlooking the large community lap pool. *Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the pool may be heated seasonally. Come "home" to relax in the tranquil decor of this island-themed oasis with vaulted ceiling and open-concept floor plan.

The fully equipped kitchen features a breakfast bar and new granite counter tops that add additional seating to the dining area. The spacious, comfy living area has a flat screen TV and DVD player, and opens to a furnished balcony where you can enjoy a cool drink and the sea breezes with a beautiful view of the pool. After a long day at the beach, sleep soundly in the master bedroom with king bed, flat screen and new private bath with walk in shower. Tuck the kids into the second bedroom, complete with two Queen beds, built in dresser and another flat screen. The two soothing, neutral bathrooms provide the privacy desired by families, couples or groups. Community laundry facilities are located about 20 feet away, behind the pool and clubhouse, so you can travel home with clean clothes. But we warn you–it's truly hard to leave here!

And don't leave Fido behind! The Chateau La Mer community is perfect for pets. There are large grassy areas and sidewalks for walking beside the breathtakingly beautiful beach. And the amenities don't stop there. In addition to the large pool, this neighborhood offers well-kept tennis courts and grilling area, a rentable clubhouse and more. And there's no through-traffic in this highly desirable community–a feature greatly appreciated by families with kids and/or pets.

Walk to nearby restaurants or pick up local seafood for a relaxing evening at your home-away-from-home. Everything you need is nearby and Destin offers so many different recreational activities, there is something for every member of the family.

From arts and culture to eco-tourism, from fine dining to quick bites, from sports and adventure to shopping and spas; the Destin area has it all. Rent a boat or paddleboard. Play golf or stumble upon a treasure on the beach or at one of the many shopping areas. Convenient, clean and easy access to the beach! Love the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella! Pet friendly and nice grounds! Laundry just behind the unit by the pool. This was a great experience!

Very nice place

Nothing bad to say about it. It's a little bit of a walk to the beach but that is the nature of the beast in this area of the beach, there is nothing actually on the beach you have to cross the road no matter where you stay. I would stay here again for sure.

Great Pet Friendly Location

We decided to do a quick beach getaway and take our 2 dogs with us. (First time traveling with our pets.) This location was GREAT! Lots of green space for our dogs, a few steps to the beach/ocean, and a nice sized/layout condo. We are definitely keeping this place on our list of places to use again!

Had a great stay. The only thing was that we brought a potable bbq pit and the property manger said he would throw it in the dumpster. We moved it but he could of just asked in a different way.

Not good places with someone with allergies

Black stuff on vents and not really clean and hard fine laundry room and DVD player didn’t work at all in room and cable work on one tv and others didn’t work at all . Bee hive by front door . But other then was ok and did have good time and pool was great and beach was beautiful.

A Wonderful place

We had the best time. The only thing I would change is I would love to have blackout curtains in the master bedroom. The ad said there was a sofa sleeper but there wasn’t. Also, we never got our free gift. Alexa kept sending us to ads on the internet when we ask. I would have loved to have been able to talk to a real person

One tired outdated condo! Does anyone care?

While we enjoyed our stay ( two nights, my son's wedding), it had little to do with the condo. This unit is in desperate need of attention. From a electrical short in the kitchen overhead light to the ceiling fan that worked when it wanted to (this is electricity and it can cause a fire. I've never seen a ceiling fan on a dimmer), the fawcett in the master plumbed backwards (really! are we in Australia?) and the list could go on and on. Somebody needs to show this unit some love. Had we been staying longer we would have probably gone somewhere else. The location is good but that about the best I can say. If I lived like this I would be embarrassed for someone to know it, let alone ask for someone to pay me to stay there. Sorry!
