Welcome to the beautiful Lakeside Sandcastle at Kokomo. A 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home in a quiet cul-de-sac, and just a short walk to the private beach access. This spacious home has living room space for your whole crew. The kitchen is top-of-the-line and includes an induction stove that the chef of your group will enjoy. With a king bed in the master, a guest bedroom with a queen bed, a guest room with a twin over full bunk bed, an additional sleeper sofa in the living room and twin over twin bunk beds in a nook, this lovely house can sleep 10 guests comfortably! Come start making memories at Lakeside Sandcastle at Kokomo to last a lifetime.

Snowbird Season runs November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). Area Attractions:

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach Access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of the permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or another flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

What a beautiful home tucked in a private area along the water. Everything was exactly as described and better in person, some friends and I took a trip over for the weekend. I still can’t get over the master bedroom views would highly recommend this place. Thank you real joy.!

Unfortunately, my stay here was absolutely disgusting. The place was infested with roaches everywhere. I found them scurrying around the master bedroom, and one even crawled on me in the middle of the night. I had to take matters into my own hands and kill it. The little ones were running around the cupboards, and it was clear the place hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. The couches were super dirty, and the rugs and carpets were heavily stained. Overall, I'd advise against staying here until they address their cleanliness and pest issues. Attempted to contact the host on the issue. No reply.

Dangerous property

Water stains on ceiling . We both have cuts on our feet from sharp transitions between bathrooms upstairs. They told us to wear shore. Windows were dirty and some had some type of moss growing on the majority of the glass. The pictures showed a beautiful firepit but there were plants growing over the pit . Made it usable. And why only one chair by the pit when there were 2 of us? The deck appeared rotten especially walking in to the home. We decided to stay off the deck as it looked like dangerous. My wfie fell while walking away from the trash containers. She may have broken her wrist. We plan on her getting it looked ar when we get home. Weve always had a great time in the houses we rented but hot this time. 2 of the neighbors told us the home was in need of being bulldozed and a new home rebuilt. Seems they know more than we did. I can say the pictures used to advertise the house rental were beautiful but not realistic.

This house was a GEM!!!

The perfect size and location for our mom/daughter trip. It was bright, comfortable and right across the street from the beach
a very short walk. Loved all the rooms and the fact that everyone had some “space”. I would totally stay here again. My one, very tiny complaint, is that I wish there had been instructions for the induction stove top.

Location is great but needs updating and major upgrades to the property (main bathroom is very dated.) Decking is in need of repair. Outdoor furniture needs a good cleaning. The lake view was nice. Thank you.

Great location

Easy walk to the beach, low traffic area (on a culdesac), and nice view of lake from the back porch. We walked to Camille’s (.8 mile) for lunch and coffee. The noise carries on the lake so you can hear the neighbors but there are white noise machines in the bedrooms if you need it. The noise stopped before bedtime so we never needed to use them. Very comfortable house.

Florida Beach Trip

We had such a great time. Very close to the beach which made walking not bad at all. Beautiful view of the lake. Close to shops, restaurants, attractions, etc. The home was nice, worked perfect for all of us. The only recommendation I have is that more pans, bigger pans, be added since the home is made for larger groups/families. Overall we had a wonderful time.
