Beautiful newly furnished apartment with fantastic views of Lake Como. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and living room with open kitchen. The large south-west facing terrace offers a beautiful view of Lake Como and surrounding mountains. A pebble beach is 300 meters away. The apartment is close to all the attractions on the lake, both for sporting and for cultural travelers. Highly recommended!

Condo in Dorio

The condo is very nice with a gorgeous view but is remote. You have to drive everywhere as nothing is within walking distance.

Great stay !

Great place to visit Lake Como, a bite remote but it’s a plus as if you have a car bevande you are not stuck with all the tourist traffic coming from Como by ferry. What a amazing view, definitely enjoy aperitivo on the terrace.

A high quality apartment with amazing open views over Lake Como. The apartment is finished to a high, modern standard. A little outside of main visitor area's but with a hire car this is no issue. Veronique was quick to answer any queries while we were staying and would highly recommend.

Love Lake Como

This apartment has everything you need for the perfect stay in Lake Como. The main attraction is the view from the balcony and the possibility to eat, drink, read or just admire the view. There are the amenities available to cook everyday with small shops a 5 minute drive or a supermarket 20 minutes away. The bedroom, bathroom and living area are a comfortable size and both clean and tidy. We couldn't use the WiFi as the box wouldn't connect to the internet, meaning we couldn't use the TV either, but we didn't miss it as we spent our time watching the boats and the scenery of the lake. There is space to park your car. Dorio is a small village with a bakery, bar and restaurant, but is well connected to the rest of the lake with the road and the train station next to the lake.

Excellent place to explore lake Como

We had wonderful time at this place. The apartment was perfect for relaxation with best view of the lake. location was great to explore eastern shore fromColico to Varenna. Veronique was helpful and everything was arranged nicely. Good place to for anyone who wants to explore the place or just relax with beautiful view of the lake.

Hot and Isolated!

The property and area are wonderful! However, a car is mandatory. I wish that had been explained before we left the states so an international driver's license could be obtained. When we arrived late at approximately 6:00 p.m., the numbers for the taxi services were invalid. The area was isolated and not safe. It was only for the kindness of an Italian man walking his dog that we found a taxi. He called five taxi services before he found one that would take us to Dorio ten minutes from Milano. If we had gone to Dorio, I can't imagine what would have happened because it is more isolated and the train station is unmanned. The area is beautiful and has a small town flavor. The one grocery store had limited items and was only opened until noon daily. There was one restaurant. The people we met everywhere were helpful and kind. We had to walk everywhere and took the train to other towns. The train reliability was approximately 80%. Purchase your train tickets at a bar across from the grocery store in Dorio. No mention of the above was noted in the feedback from others. The posting in June regarding needing a car was not posted until we returned home. This would have been very helpful to see. So, I am including this information to help others. We had weather reports that it was going to be colder than usual. In reality, there was a heat wave that exceeded temperature ranges and broke decades of records. The apartment has no air conditioning and there was no breeze during these times. There was one small fan in the apartment. It was sweltering hot and we were unable to sleep. Start saving your ice as soon as you arrive! The apartment has beautiful views. But remember, it is a long way up the hill. We got our exercise while in Dorio! Be sure and have a car if you rent this place. The WiFi was non-functional. We would think it was working but our international carrier would kick in with another daily charge. I'm not sure what needs to be done to boost the power. Often times, it would be so low that the signal would not show as a WiFi. This is a beautiful place and many of our concerns were not directly related to the property. Notifying potential renters about the need for a car is basic and should be listed on the site. I recommend adding more fans / ac and boosting WiFi. The property is lovely! Veronique was timely with her responses and was able to help us check in and reset the breakers when we arrived. Thank you! .

Beautiful little apartment with a view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is newly renovated, all modern decor and conveniences. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in traveling internationally. The view is spectacular and although Dorio is a quiet little town where a car is definitely needed, it’s a short drive to other conveniences along the lake such a groceries, ferry etc. We loved hiking the Sentiero Del Viandante right from our doorstep as well. We never were able to connect to the apartment’s WiFi despite trying every day, but it didn’t negatively affect our stay, it just would have been convenient. Veronique was very prompt with communication and wonderful to work with, thank you very much!

Schöne Wohnung mit grandiosem Blick auf See und Berge

Tolle, super saubere, ruhige Wohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Mit 2 Personen genutzt luxuriöses Platzangebot, bequemes Bett. Der grandiose Blick aus dem riesigen Panoramafenster und von dem herrlichen überdachten Balkon war bei Tag und Nacht, bei Sonne und Regen immer wieder fantastisch. Die Kommunikation mit Veronique war prima und ihre Ausflugstips klasse. Auto von Vorteil, da keine Lokale in unmittelbarer Nähe. Vielen Dank, wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Herrlicher Ausblick über den Comer See

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in Dorio, auch wenn das Wetter nicht immer so mitgespielt hat. Das ist aber halt im Herbst so. Die Kommunikation mit Veronique verlief stes problemlos und als es ein technisches Problem gab, hat sie völlig unkompliziert und unverzüglich für eine Alternative gesorgt. Herzlichen Dank nochmal. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist optimal. Man kann von dort so viel unternehmen und anschauen. Auch die Zugverbindungen sind gut und günstig . Oberhalb der Wohnanlage kann man auch auf dem Sentiero del Viandante wandern. Der Blick vom Balkon ist einfach nur herrlich.
