While the property was nice, the room was inferior. The mattress was very hard, pillows were lumpy and the sheets were scratchy. The room was uncomfortably warm and we could not get it cooled down. The bathroom was missing toiletries normally expected in this price range hotel. Staff was pleasant and the property was clean. Breakfast only fair. In our 10 day stay in Ireland, this is the only property we had negative comments about.

Nice hotel near Newgrange

Pros: Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Showers that had consistent hot water. Nice pub and restaurant.
Cons: It would be nice if the rooms could be sound proofed a little. Add a sign at the entrance of the hotel, so you know you are at the right place.
Location: Newgrange and Masterboice are close. It's not far from Dublin and Malahide Castle.
Boyne Valley Hotel is a nice hotel that is very close to historic sites such as Newgrange and Masterboice. It is located on the outskirts of Drogheda with easy access to major roads.
