This did not feel like a swissotel at all. Poor management is clear as soon as you walk in. The building appears to not have been renovated in at least 30 years, old carpet, stains on walls, cracks in the tile in the bathrooms. Every time i've stayed in a swissotel previously, as soon as you get to the lobby all staff greet you and are ready to assist. This swissotel you'd be lucky if anyone in the lobby made eye contact with you. The cleaners had the best customer service; every time i saw them they were very pleasant and would greet us with a smile. This swissotel management needs to be flown out to Qatar to see how a swissotel should be run. Buyer beware: the pictures you see on this listing must have been from when they first opened this place decades ago, it looks NOTHING like the pictures you see here. I would've loved to respectfully give some constructive feedback at checkout but (surprise surprise) not a single person asked us how our stay was.

This place needs a whole renovation. The tiles were broken and so dirty that it’s stuck like grime. Very old, dirty and creepy. The windows were so old you can hear the cars and wind blowing. The curtains were so dusty. Terrible experience

Dates: 23–25 Oct 2025 Party: 3 adults + 1 child (2 y.o.) Purpose: family gift for our mother and brother Total paid: AED 2,591.49 (2 nights) We chose this property specifically as a 5-star hotel opposite Dubai Mall. At the booked hotel address, my family were told “you are not staying here” and redirected to a different building we never selected. Despite an advance request for early check-in (travelling with a toddler), staff spoke rudely and charged USD 50 at 11:00 just to enter. The assigned unit was not 5-star: broken shower, dirty/smelly bathroom, stained linens, damaged sockets; and access to main facilities was refused, although facilities were a key reason for booking. This experience spoiled a carefully planned family gift and caused distress to an elderly parent and a small child. We have photo/video evidence and have requested a full refund, the USD 50 refund, and compensation through the official channels (Expedia and Dubai Consumer Rights). Tip for management: please ensure guests are accommodated at the booked hotel address, train staff on empathetic early check-in handling (especially with children), and verify cleanliness and facility access before assigning rooms.

Amazing location. Great value for money

It's my 4th stay in this hotel. The rooms are being renovated and improved from 1 stay to another. This time, I also got upgraded with no extra charge for an amazing suit. The only problems were that the water in the shower wasn't hot enough. Also, the water stream in the taps were very weak. Other than that, the service, the air conditioner, the bed, the space, the cleaning and anything else was amazing. Thanks for a great stay

So I arrived early in the morning, way before the check-in time. I was early by at least 4-5 hours. My best bet was that the hotel administration would keep my luggage and that I would while away the time roaming around aimlessly in Dubai Mall. The fact that I hadn’t slept the entire night earlier owing to my flight schedule was also weighing on my mind. It is in this backdrop that I tentatively approached the lady at the reception. Her name was Sandra and I right at the outset told her that I know I’m early but I would just request you guys to entertain my luggage and get me a room at your earliest convenience. I was surprised when Sandara not only gave me a room straight away but she also upgraded it. There was another lady in the lobby who was incredibly cheerful and walked me to the elevators. My luggage was deliveries shortly thereafter. I have never been treated like a royalty at any hotel but the work ethic of these guys is just at another level. Highly recommend this hotel. Whenever I come to Dubai again, I’d stay at Swissôtel Al Murooj Dubai. They didn’t abandon me when I needed them. I’m now their loyal customer for life.

The property location is excellent. It is at a walking distance from the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. Less than a 10 minute walk. However, the property itself was a big disappointment. The apartment was huge for three people. There are 2.5 bathrooms. But the carpet was stinking. It looked like the room hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. There were dirty spots on the carpet. I almost got an asthma attack. It is depressing to see a renowned brand like Swissotel maintain their hotel in such shabby conditions in a prime real estate location such as Dubai downtown.
