Quiet Comfort

The room was quite large with plenty of space for my friend and our 4 jumbo size travel bags. The bed and pillows were heaven! Good and drinks in the restaurant were very good. Staff was very polite and accommodating..tho when asked about a taxi to the airport we were told it was a flat rate of €27...it was actually €44.

Nice hotel, in front of Kilmainham Gaol Museum

Pros: Cleanliness, comfort, staff.
Location: Read on "Write about your experience" above.
This is a very nice hotel, right in front of Kilmainham Gaol (Jail) Museum, which in my opinion is an important visit to understand the history of Ireland and its separation from the UK. Great breakfast was included in our rate. The only problem we noticed is that besides Kilmainham, the hotel is far from everything else a typical tourist would like to see in a 2-3 day Dublin visit. A taxi, or very long walks, or a combination of trams, is required to visit most other landmarks in town which will increase your daily expenses while in town. So, if you're choosing hotels mainly based on prices, make sure to consider additional costs on local transportation as well.

Friendly Staff and Comfortable Accomodations

Pros: Free Internet, helpful staff
Cons: Poor breakfast, few restaurants and attractions nearby
The staff at this hotel was very friendly, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and explain things to do in the area. The Night Manager, Stephen, was especially friendly. I would rate the staff as excellent except for a couple of experiences I had with staff during the day, but they were not from Ireland. If you visit Ireland, you will find that most of the native people are very warm and helpful. The hotel had free internet, but they give you several codes, and you will get kicked off after an hour and have to re-enter the code, which was an inconvenience. The bed was comfortable, but the air condition didn't always come on so at night it was sometimes warm. The hotel is close to center city Dublin - a block from the bus or about a 10 minute cab ride which will cost you 10-15 Euros. The hotel restaruant was good, but the breakfast (which can be included, but I do not recommend it) was fair at best. If you are on a budget, this is an excellent hotel, but if you can get a hotel of similar quality in center city (Temple Bar Area), you'll probably have a better time. For the price, the hotel was more than worth it and I may stay there again. There are two great attractions to visit next to the hotel: The Art Museum and Historic Kilmainham Jail.

I will DEFINITELY stay at Kilmainham Hilton when in Dublin again

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, excellent breakfast, amazing staff, close to public transport, pool and spa (bring swim cap)
After 9 nights of hotels in Europe this was the tops. the quality and features you would expect from Hilton - the service saved me - literally - I got dreadfully ill our last night and the Staff was AMAZING with getting me a Doc on Call and helping us reorg our additional night. We love our balcony king, large with a sitting room and desk and amazing bathroom. Easy walk across the street to the hop on hop off bus, taxis sit outside almost constantly and you can walk about 6 minutes to the tram which takes 15 minutes to get you downtown for 2 Euro. Stay here you will be ever so happy you did!!

Hotel was not bad , Ogy at the front desk was always helpful

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: horribly hard bed
Took 40 minutes to get ice one time, and that was after I called FD and asked we're it was, they said they would deliver.....I would much ather have gotten it myself a lot sooner, BED WAS HORRIBLE!!!!! I had a room with a balcony Room 530...... Room was ok and clean, but my god it was like sleeping on a board.....was kind of let down with Hilton about that......I would recommend the hotel, for a short stay, however, I would not stay there again for a week....only for the fact I need a comfortable bed, nothing else
