We weren't aware that our stay in Dublin was during an NFL game. All hotels, including this one doubled their rates. Thus hotel isn't in Dublin, but the nearby light rail station "Red Cow" is a short taxi trip away. For a real Irish Pub experience, go to The Steering Wheel Pub. It's a short taxi ride or 15 minute walk away. It's a local favorite and we were the only tourists.

Room was a good size for a family of 5 but the sofa bed was really hard, the other beds were comfortable though. Good service, drinking water was provided in the rooms, staff are friendly and helpful. There are food options opposite the hotel for dinner if you don’t want to eat in the hotel restaurant and an Aldi next to the hotel. Breakfast had good options and was very tasty. The bus is a short walk from the hotel and runs regularly into town, the tram is quicker but a 20-30min walk from the hotel. The walk is a safe and easy walk though and the tram is very cheap to get into Dublin City Centre.

I have stayed here for many years as I have family in the area. I have noticed some changes over this time and not all are for the best. All hotels in Ireland have got more expensive including this hotel. They also now charge 10 euros a night for parking which used to be included. The restaurant was also closed during our stay which was a shame. On the plus side, I like that it is right beside Aldi which is great for some snacks and a light breakdfast. The parking and access is still convenient. One item was the cleanliness as there was mold in the shower and general poor upkeep which is a shame. I would still stay here again but the value is declining.

Horrible experience

This hotel was far and away the worst of our trip to Europe. If you like noisy rooms, service with an attitude and no attention to detail, along with no AC on hot evenings, then this might be the hotel for you

Hotel was lovely. Delicious breakfast. Well presented. Room was spacious and beds very comfortable. Staff were all excellent. One negative was the tired bathroom. The lingering smell of the dreaded shower curtain and the old grime around the fittings and tiles etc. also the base of the bath was worn and damaged so stuck to the shower.
