AVOID. The check-in process was very stressful and frustrating. The host sent the wrong lockbox code in the check-in instructions and I was unable to access the apartment. I tried contacting the host through multiple channels (Expedia messages, email, and the 2 phone numbers they had supplied) and received absolutely no response. As it was late evening I was ready to give up and go elsewhere. It was only after calling a different phone number I found on their website and waiting for almost 2 hours that I was finally given the correct code. Despite it being the host's mistake of sending the wrong code, I received no apology or offer of compensation for the immense stress I experienced.
Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. Once inside the apartment, I was appalled to discover that the bedsheets were dirty and had dark brown stains which appeared to be blood. I had to search the apartment building for clean sheets and change them myself, which is the last thing anyone wants to do after arriving after a long journey. The room also had visible dust and debris all over the floor, and the fridge was filthy, suggesting it hadn’t been properly cleaned or vacuumed in quite some time. Furthermore, the walls of the room had exposed limescale plaster which made it feel like staying in a room that was partially renovated.
Overall, the lack of communication, cleanliness, and basic hospitality made this a very disappointing stay. Go elsewhere and save yourself the stress.
