First I will start with some of the perks of this accommodation:
- Charming setting featuring the art of Annabel Zanze
- Fairly convenient location resting up a few flights of stairs from the Main Street of Dubrovnik Old Town
However, despite the charm and location, my friend and I experienced some downsides:
- To start, the host informed us of being able to visit their âofficeâ before check-in, where we would be able to store our bags. However, upon arrival we found that the âofficeâ was actually a luggage storage company that you had to pay for.
- Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the apartment left something to be desired; sour smelling towels, fake eyelash clusters from a previous guest, clumps of stray hairs scattered around the shower, dirt covered bathroom floors and a broken toilet seat put a damper on our stay
- The noises from outside permeated the apartment in a manner which placed us seemingly directly into the conversations of neighboring guests.
- Most âshockingâ of all was our experience with the shower. On our second night, we experienced an electrifying sensation when the metal components of the shower were touched - the sensation of electricity flowing into you while showering was concerning. The host responded promptly and sent over an electrician the next morning, but no issue with the electricity wiring was found, & the issue persisted.
All in all, an acceptable place to sleep and conveniently located along a charming Old Town, but nothing more.
Really convenient located in the old town. The check in is at a central office. Communication about how to find the office and the appartment was clear and provided well in advance of arrival. The apartment was clean, well maintained and had everything you would need. The air-conditioning was a god send in the hwat wave. The showers were powerful and hot water was plentiful. My only gripe was that the bedrooms were very small and I dont think the beds were full doubles. I found the bedrooms crampt.
